How is it as a step counter now? I always wanted one of these but that is a fairly big part of my decision. The Misfit flash is great for steps, and can do music controls too, but the pressing of it to skip songs or pause is annoying, so the buttons on the steel would be ideal.

Is this any good as a pedometer? Would it be as accurate as the FitBit I currently own?

I had a fitbit flex, and I now use plexfit through my pebble steel. They never matched, always off by a few hundred at the end of the day. Neither would I call accurate in terms of steps, counting steps on both then checking they never matched my actual steps. In terms of tracking I was doing something though, both fine... which is about all you can expect with a wrist accessory.

I still like my pebble steel and I've had a fair few compliments on it. Its cool to see who is calling and see sms/hangout messages on my wrist and dismiss when they don't need a reply. It easily lasts 7 days for me between charges and music boss works well for controlling music. You can reply to messages too with some preset messages. I've played with touch screen smart watches and so far, they seem like a gimmick. NFC in the strap for payments would be nice though :smiley:
