With their ultra-high resolutions, high brightness panels, local dimming systems and sophisticated smart features, these great value TVs are an ideal entry point into the joys of 4K.
Price is for collection but can be delivered for an extra £12.99
Great review here.
This is not a budget Panasonic tv and nor is it made in turkey. Check your facts before you comment!

Think you are confusing this with some of the entry level ones. This is a well reviewed TV.

I bought this yesterday from John Lewis for £649. They price matched to the Crompton Moore website as they are selling for £699 in store. Got the 5 year guarantee aswell with it so great price for a recommended UHDTV

Best I've seen so far is £749 in Bentalls, Kingston. I've been considering it too but I think paying extra for the CX700 might be worth thinking about..

Been considering this for some time but saw it instore at JL last week and was put off by the black bezel surround - made it look cheap looking. Another reason i've not bothered is that i own a Panasonic 40AS650B and I can see blurring around images in fast motion. To me the 680 version showed similar blurring. I have no need for any of the connectivity software due to having a very slow standalone satellite internet - so was going to plump for the Sony KD49X83 ~ £699 but on the case to look for better deal. Thoughts?
I'm going to get the 55" version of this TV I think. I'm not fussed about smart features though, as I have a dedicated media server for that. I wonder in that case, is there a better TV for the money that focuses on audio/picture?

Cheers OP. Another TV in the pot, which one to buy hmmmmm?
I'm looking for a 55 inch TV and I've seen the 55 inch version of this (the 55CX680) for £750. It seems like a good price based on the reviews of 50CX680. However, reviews of 55CX680 are a bit sparse and a bit of a mixed bag. So I'm just posting this question here in case anyone in the know can advise if there is a significant difference between the 50 and 55 (apart from the obvious 5 inches) that would make the 55 an inferior TV to the 50.

This one's a Curry's only model which puts me off slightly. Is it worth getting for the 800mhz? Not fussed about 3D.

JL sent me an email saying they will price match me to £641.99 because they need to add delivery charge. This was for website.
I made a separate enquiry to my local store.
The only reason I'm pursuing this instead of taking up this offer is because I need the accidental damage cover which isn't offered on this deal at the same price.

Some sets are made in Turkey, but I am not sure Turkey = bad anyway. Czech is where Panasonic assemble their own? (see AV forum thread below)
I'd probably go by reviews, more than country of origin. If they can make iPads in China...
Which links for this TV? all reviews I have seen (on amazon and elsewhere) are very good for this television.

Can any owners also give the actual stand dimensions to ensure it fits on my tv stand please.

This stand is not pre attached but simple enough to bolt on as instructions come supplied. Great TV and thoroughly recommend it.

The stand is not attached straight out the box, though quite straight forward to fit and the JL delivery guys offered to do it for me had I wanted it.
As we wall mounted ours, our stand is packed away I'm afraid. My partner estimates from memory 45cm wide x 15cm deep, but I'm sorry we can't be more accurate than that.

The surround is black thin and glossy on three sides, with a dark grey-black metal strip across the bottom, and a very thin matching glossy black strip under the metal. The stand is a lighter mid-chrome-y metal

Looks great to me. Read this review though, might help you to decide.
If update is done correctly Sony TV is infinitely better, android with built in chrome cast. (Carry out updates with no hdmi's plugged in, just coax and Internet) Your changing to a 200hz screen and as more 4K comes available it may struggle on upscale.
And you may get a 5 year Sony warranty free if your tv is listed here!

I've recently tried 4 price matches with JL and they have been rejected for the most obscure reason...only reason I can see here is the having to pay cost of return and then getting a refund...yes, JL are THAT picky.
