no need to act so desperate to expire it... what harm did it do you?

Is this better than the Canon 750d which can I recently bought at a very similar price?

If you want to do lots of video work, it's better suited. If not, I would personally rather have the 750D.

The Lumix is a fair bit smaller and lighter than the Canon, and the equivalent lenses are also smaller and lighter. So it's better if you will be carrying it around all day. Compare here: http://camerasize.com/compare/#621,598
Also the G7 has an electronic viewfinder, I think this is a good thing.
Even if you don't care about video, some of the "4K photo" modes could be useful. ie you can record 30 fps, then pick which ones to save as photos.
On the other hand, the Canon has an optical viewfinder, which some people like, and probably faster autofocus for some things. And it has a wider range of lenses available, including some cheaper options.
For overall image quality, they are probably both pretty similar.
The 45-150 lens on its own costs over £150. I think it is a useful zoom range, and reasonable quality. So its a good deal if you want that. Don't know if the bag is any good.

Gutted.
The discount code expired last night at midnight, should have purchased then!
Good price and but looking further into this, wilkinsons are not listed on the participating retailers for cash back. Plus the only UK twin model kit seems to be the silver one sold by Jessops. Has anyone bought and claimed successfully through this retailer on this current promotion?

If you shoot video this is an almost perfect choice, for stills I'd go for APS-C too.

Superb deal for a sub-£500 4K video system or for someone who will be shooting equal amounts of video and photo. I'd personally favour an APS-C system from Sony or Fuji for someone shooting stills exclusively (not necessarily because larger sensors tend to produce better image quality, I just generally prefer these two brands for stills cameras), but this is still an excellent option to consider for anyone looking for a mirrorless camera.

I'm an advocate of the Sony E Mount cameras but this is a stonking deal and should be very hot!
