I prefer derby or arko to Palmolive, but I do shave with my razor set from 5 to 7 which is quite open. Also enjoy a straight edge shave now and again.

As far back as I can remember this stuff is apparently being discontinued, that's going back about 10yr. Morrison's might be trying to get rid of stock and discontinue it, which would be a shame god knows why you'd use foam or gel when sticks are so much better and cheaper.
I might go fill my boots next time I'm in. :smirk: already have enough shaving stock to last me 5+ years. :stuck_out_tongue:

I've not tried Derby before, interested to see how it suits me when it gets here.

You're probably right, but a saving anyway. Snap on the Derby, I bought the same. Having used the Derby and Palmolive this week (grated in bowls, separate, not mixed, though as I write that a thought occurs) I have to say I do prefer the Palmolive, gives a slightly better lubrication (STOP sniggering at the back!).

I'd take that with a pinch of salt..... there was also this post on that thread..

Yawn.. Few threads on UK forums where someone actually bothered to speak to the manufacturing customers services and surprise surprise Colgate themselves didn't know that they stopped making soap sticks. The chap was reassured that there are no plans to drop the production.
To those who grate, don't. It is easier to slice the stick like Salmi, arrange slices in container, add a bit of H2o ,let it sit in the container and use. After a day the soap fits nicely.

I'm still seeing it stocked in shops i usually see it in, so i'm not that bothered. Also there's always shaving soap sticks to buy on the net, i just bought 3 X Derby shaving soap sticks for £1.49 delivered on Amazon.

Inevitably on the internet, it was discussed in some forums like this. Looking back, seems maybe out of date - anyway I went to Morrisons and bought 15 just in case!

My stick has lasted over 6 months. Great value these. Why anyone buys the rip off foam is beyond me. Just need a shaving brush and you're good to go.
