I briefly had the R7 - it was very nicely put together but the usability wasn't that great - everything I tried to do felt a bit un-intuitive. The battery was poor, didn't have FM radio (yeah I know, I love BBC R3) and no finger print scanner, so I eventually returned it.
I hope this one's going to be better.

Reading too much into that there. You asked for a reason not to buy a Smart 6 Ultra, and you were given one

Not sure how you inferred that from my comment.

So your phone is faulty, and that's the reason why people should not buy SU6 and instead buy an Oppo F1? Is it because in your opinion Oppo phones never fail and their customer service is so good that it would be much easier to return it to them for repair than going into a Vodafone store?

This is ugly as hell. Why not just buy a Vodafone Smart 6 Ultra?

Shame about 720p but nonetheless a good deal if you dont like GearBest, Banggood and all that crew

Yes, shame. But 720 on the Moto G looks nice and OPPO screens are usually very good.
Deffo one for the stylish mid range buyers - OPPO have a bit of a gold obsession at the moment

293.72 PPI...
More than high enough res. probably wouldn't notice difference between this and 1080p screen.

Ok yes the onePlus X is only £30. But warranty issues and stupid invite system is murder, add to the fact your buying from hassle free amazon

It's only a 5 inch phone, so 720p is fine.
Personally I'd prefer a higher-quality screen, more RAM and better battery life than extra pixels you'll barely notice.

Quite a small battery though...I think there's better specced Chinese phones available for the money isn't there?

Ive never seen that ram combo (high) paired with that resolution (low). Unusual.

Yeah, bit odd. Battery life should be better with the lower res screen and, to be fair, 1280x720 on a 5 inch display is enough.
Good range of 2G/3G/4G bands and that all important memory card slot is there too.

I would go as far as saying it's positively bizarre  Personally I could never call a mobile with a 720p screen 'midrange'...Upper budget? :stuck_out_tongue:

£159 with the code Amazon are offering out today which gives £10 off a £50 spend. I've pre-ordered as a gift.
Opening post
Looks like a very nice and well built mid range phone.
Not so sure about the golden colour or the flip case, but the phone looks decent.
Pre-order gets you the flip cover free too.
Another phone to slot in with the Moto G, honor and huawei mid rangers
Nice to have other options :-)
