As for games I already have more for this than my xbox one..... But u haven't got the one above. Went in for Xenoblade smash bros and bayonetta.

To be honest, those two games alone will keep you going for a LONG time. Both fantastic.

Personally I would prefer to spend a bit extra and get a UK model, however heat added as it is a good price for people who do not mind.

Buyer beware : the Nintendo NX is most likely coming out this year, the Wii U will lose all support. So basically, don't expect many more games than what are already out or due out this year

Nintendo have said that they're officially continuing all support for Wii U even post the late 2015 NX release, so there's still plenty of reason to buy a Wii U in addition to the great back catalogue of games.

Don't think there's that much stock floating about. The supermarkets don't seem to stock it anymore, and there's not masses of Wii U stuff out on display in Game or HMV.

I'm not too worried anyway, between MK8, Smash Bros, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Maker, New super mario bros u + new super luigi u and the upcoming Star Fox title, I've got months' worth of games to get through if I ever find the time. Didn't pay more than £30 each for any of them, and a quick scout of eBay shows they've retained nearly all of their value, if not more.

If I want to play FIFA/COD and other annual franchises, I'll just play on the XBOX One.

£220 before the voucher now. No longer a good deal considering the release of the NX at some point this year. Hold onto your pennies and wait for these to be cleared out at around £150.

I'm trying to figure out why people keep saying the nx is out this year. Don't Nintendo usually announce their console a year before release?

Nintendo have stated on several occasions that the NX is NOT a replacement of the 3DS or the Wii U and are calling it a new platform.

I think anyone expecting a full console with performance of the XB/PS4 are in for a huge let down. I believe the NX is a Android based device like the Shield TV. Capable of both mobile/handheld gaming and console gaming (equivalent to Wii U now). So the rumours that the next Zelda game and other Wii U titles could be ported to NX are not unrealistic in that regards.

So, it's just a theory. It's not actually based on anything announced. I just seem to be seeing a few people stating it as fact to stop people looking at a Wii U purchase.

wii u is a great buy i got one for christmas because im a big kid lol i own Xbox one and ps4 and wii u is great family fun and it has still a lot more to give Nintendo are still making wii games so they are def not going to stop making wii u games so no need to worry about nx

It's highly likely Nintendo will announce the NX within the first 6 months of 2016 and release before Xmas 2016.

The fact that GAME, Amazon and other retailers are selling this at £250, the same price as an X1 or PS4, is laughable! How is this console holding its price?! It's a great console but come on, it's clearly a commercial failure and nowhere near the hardware capabilities of the other two. So let's have a proper price cut please?!

At some point, you have to factor in the cost and value of the games. Sure it's old hardware, but it's also two amazing games which also took time/effort to produce.

I'm just saying, don't let rumours and conjecture drive your purchasing decision. If you do, you'd believe it'll be based on an android system, will match the power of PS4/Xbox One and may even be a portable console that docks into a tv-based setup. In other words, no-one knows and it shouldn't stop people from enjoying a Wii U purchase.

There is a lot of news recently that suggests the console will be at least as poweful as PS4/Xbox one if not more powerful, and will stream additonal hardware code over the internet to boost perfomance. A patent has also been revealed for stackable power modules, suggesting the console could essentially be as poweful as you want to put more money in. The console/hybrid will supersede the wii u and 3DS. Nintendo have also stated it is new and different. This isn't to say the Wii U isn't worth buying, it has some of the best games. It is wise to wait a few months because nintendo will want to shift these consoles before the release of the NX.
