Western Digital USB 3 hard drive.
Price including delivery is £30.99 but comes down to £24.79 when you apply code WDFRIEND15. I know a lot of people will bah humbug recertified drives but I have been using these on my Xbone for some time without any problems and at less than £25 it's a bargain.

not sure where consumer law stands re 60day gtee. ... my thoughts would be that it still has to be merchantable quality etc. ergo must last a reasonable amount of time
I do have a recert drive from wd used as a usb tv record, been fine for 9 months pluz

Picked up the black 1TB for £23.99 - only a 6 month warranty vs 2 years new, so it'll be used for xbox one storage only. If it lasts a year, I'll be happy!

Got the 1.5tb for £31.19 using the code.
Don't care if its rectified, it's just going to be plugged into an Xbox.

not everyone might use this just for memories though. what if your going away for a short time from your main drive and want to carry a bunch of films/tv series with you?

I don't think WD have much faith in these with only 60 day warranty.

It's pure luck, new one could break in months, recertified could last years, same as cars, two identical ones can have very different reliability, at both ends of spectrum
Think they're having some fun with us, pretty much everything out of stock!

I can't speak of all components but its common place for refurbished items to undergo more rigorous testing before being resold. Your paying less, the longer warranty is something you pay for. If you keep your priceless files on a single drive without backup then your asking to loose them and not very tech savy

As a rectified drive its probably had more tests done on it to ensure its ok than a new one falling off the production line.

if that was the case why then do recertified drives nit come with the same warranties. personally why take a chance given you can't recreate memories just to save a few quid. memories are priceless
