Every time a 16GB Moto G deal gets posted there is always the people confusing it with the 8GB model... EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. WITHOUT FAIL!

It's not only 16GB (storage) but it's 2GB ram unlike the 8GB/1GB standard Moto G 3rd Gen

I bought via Amazon France recently, just use Chrome and its translate feature to make it easy. I'd suggest not using Amazon's Euro to GBP convertion option as that usually is dearer than using your own card and paying the % for Euro purchases (usually about 2.75%)

Not for the 16GB model, the 8GB is usually around £100 from Vodafone.

I don't think these are worth £47 +£1.70 (Vodafone + unlock) over the lower 1 - 8GB model which works pretty much just as well for everything.

So basically 8gb more space for £35+ ? How much is a 64gb so card? Extremely cold

Actually the Moto G only takes a maximum card of 32GB and this has 2GB of Ram also.

Good deal for the superior 16GB/2GB RAM model - hot!

You can't get this particular model. The inferior 8GB / 1GB RAM version around that price direct from Vodafone.

I'm hoping this will come down to about £110 which will take it affordable for me!
Have tried a couple of the high spec Chinese phones which just lack slightly in some areas.
2gb/16gb is ideal for most

Great basic phone with marshmallow and 2 days medium use battery. 2gb ram help as well.

My Moto G is running with 64Gb Micro SD. Without any issues I used it for bother Extended Memory with Marshmallow. But reverted back to USB storage.

That's handy to know, the instructions do state 32GB max, I just assumed a bigger card wouldn't work.

128GB works just fine too. All you need to do is put it in the phone and format it via the phone. Works flawlessly with a 128gb Sandisk!

If I was Motorola, I would never had brought out an 8GB/1GB version in the 3rd Gen.
its a great phone and deserves a minimum spec of 16GB/2GB

Can I recommend the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 instead. £135 brand new on Amazon from UK suppliers and you can have it next day with Prime. Amazing phones, got one for my daughter and in some ways prefer it to my Nexus 6P.

Was disappointed to read about Lenovo planning to phase out the Moto G line:
I buy the MotoG because its a great phone & has the Motorola name behind it.
I've bought 8 since 2013.
I do not like Lenovo phones. I really don't!
So once the Motorola name goes, so does my custom. And I'm sure other loyal Motorola fans will say think the same

I've been after this phone for a while. I know someone posted a deal with Amazon France a few weeks ago, and then again on Amazon Italy. I hesitated cuz I thought maybe there might be a difference with the version intended for the UK market (in addition to power adapter etc), e.g. maybe there would be compatibility issues with it somehow which might prove a pain in the backside later.
Pity Amazon UK can't bring out an equivalent deal, or maybe I should just put aside my reservations and go for it.

The UK models don't come with a power adapter in the box anymore, not sure if the French still get one

18 Jan 16#39
MotoG doesn't come with any adapter in any format or variant. Just a USB charging cable
CupidS
18 Jan 16#40
I see. And there wouldn't be any other compatibility issues that might say, affect reception from networks, 4G and who knows whatever else?
The fact that other people who have bought from abroad haven't reported anything terrible is definitely encouraging.

Lenovo haven't said they'll get rid of the Moto brand but articles suggest they'll get rid of Motorola but still keep the Moto branding. So no need to panic and it seems that the Motorola team will still be behind the designs of the phones so things should hopefully carry on, maybe they can figure out a name change instead of generation versions that confuse so many people.

I just want to know which 5" phone has the best camera around this £130 price. Moto G, Wiley Fox, ZTE Blade S6 or even the £100ish Doogee Pro for example?
Gollywood
19 Jan 16#57
Probably the Wileyfox Swift. MotoG 4G 3rd Gen ain't too bad. Doogee tend to skimp on the camera but at their prices something has to give.
