There are many better phones. Can you find the LG G4 for close to this price?

I have this phone for around a year now and I love it.

Actually after it got marshmallow the battery life (for my use case) has improved significantly, whereas before it would struggle to survive a day now it last one and a half and I even pulled out 2 days a couple of times. I have never experienced anything close to this level of improvement in battery life via software in any phone.
Also the camera has improved a lot since I first got it and is pretty decent now, not the best, but more than good enough for most imo.

The processor is the best the last year offers, so if you want the best phone money can buy, yes go and buy Moto X Force (cca 400£), G4 etc... but in reality this chip combined with (virtually) stock android this ships with I really doubt anyone would notice a difference. This chip has at least a couple of more years in it.

In reality this phone has a really good amoled 5.2" screen which is somewhere around the right size for most as well as seamless experience many others lack, it weighs about 140g and has a pretty nice design, all in all I don't think you can get a better phone in this price range, possibly you can get something different (so better for you if you have different priorities).

I would definitely recommend it and apart from paying a bit too much for it when it was relatively new I am pretty happy with my phone.

I have had a quick look, Only white front available, but free upgrade to wood or leather, can get a really nice design. Shame no fingerprint sensor, as at 187 its a bargain... i feel tempted to swap my nexus 6p (which is way superior to this one i guess) :wink:

Was hoping the specs would be better than my Xperia Z2... Sadly not, I'm trying to find a decent phone around this price to replace mine..

I was looking at the Xaiomi mi4c, but put off by the plastic construction... Still think it's better than the moto X though.. (Apart from a few things like shipping, warranty and stock android If you like that)

No experience of moto x but I have the oneplus x and the only thing that let's it down is the battery I wouldn't consider myself a heavy user but I don't get a day out it, with heavier use its more like having to charge it by 6 at night, I hope xiaomi decided to start selling direct in Europe as they seem to get a good idea of the mix of suitable screen size, battery size and other spec ect

Does this phone capture slow motion video? ie 120fps, 240fps etc.

I have a Moto X Force at the moment, but it's a bit too big for my likings ...

Since I got Marshmellow the battery has been a lot better on mine with the Doze feature

I have the Oneplus X and its a super nice phone ,well made ,looks fantastic.
Battery life not brilliant but Marshmallow due in a few months so might improve.
Has the option of 2 sims or Sd card,camera probably on a par with the Moto.
Thing is if you have a problem with it you need to send it back to china at your own expense and say bye bye to phone for months.
With Moto its UK support so should be a quicker turn around if you have problems.

I have swapped my Nexus 6 for this one about 6 month ago. Very happy.
An excellent phone for a fantastic price.

I mean this is an ideal phone for everyday use, whichever phone you buy after some time you get the excitement down and go straight to usability ... This one can't go wrong at this price £187 plus 5% discount making it more cheaper.

I also find it a big laggy which is mental really considering the specs

Shame the battery is only 2300 mAh. Otherwise great phone at that price. Love the customization options.

I think they're hedging their delivery times a little here - ordered one a couple of days ago, estimated delivery 20th Jan, and it ends up arriving today. I guess they'd rather the estimated date be far off than the item missing an estimated delivery date by a week. Great phone though for the money.

I was holding out for a LG G4 but I am fed up of waiting for it to become vaguely affordable and not convinced that it will be that practical being as big as it is. I liked the idea of the G4 replaceable battery and additional storage with a sim card. Having looked at this Moto X I am thinking this is probably a more suitable phone. Two questions really for any of the many people who seem to have bought through this deal and don't mind sharing info;

1. does it have gorilla glass and does that make it pretty much unbreakable? If so that is a great plus point. I smashed a S3 screen in an innocuous fall within weeks of getting it, spent a load to get it fixed and had to eventually dump it in a drawer when it never really worked properly again. I've been on an old iPhone 4 since which is giving up the ghost! I have a work iPhone too and don't want any more iphones for my personal phone.

2. Are you generally happy with the phone (storage space in particular)? It would be nice to download a lot of music and a few films for holiday travel if the storage is up to it
