Have been using the set I purchased 6 days ago on a daily basis.....boiled potatoes + other vegetables, heated soup and braised steak.....and can say that nothing has stuck to the base of the pot nor have they discoloured! Also found the drainage lids handy. Early days I know but so far so good! Registration process online for the extra 9 years guarantee was simple + straightforward. A few sets (but not many) were still on sale in Morrisons in Arbroath on Saturday for £12. Personally feel they are still a bargain.

The problem with reviews is that many people complete them within a short space of time, so defects are not known. However, as you will see from the reviews on Amazon, even people who give them 3 and 4 stars say food burns on, issues with lids and of course the bit I forgot, the milk pan always tips over as the handle is too heavy, so you have to be very careful with it. Why didn't I claim on warranty? Because they cost peanuts and I certainly didn't want another set.

In response to shopaholic8 - if you care to look at the Argos site the Morphy Richards Equip pan sets they are selling are 8pce + 5pce sets - both get 4 out 5 Stars with the reviews!!
I have been using the set since purchasing at the weekend...the handles do not heat up nor does food stick to the bottom.
Also, if you found your set to be faulty why did you not return them or claim off the 10 year guarantee??

And those of you that made catty comments about my experience have had a set of those for a year thus allowing you to make 'informed' observations? If not then how can you possibly comment. Why not look at the reviews on Argos where they get 1 star and other people talk about food sticking and pots discolouring with just water, oh and the handles heat up. Maybe they are not suited to gas as even at the lowest gas setting anything put in sticks right away. And here I was thinking I was doing the right thing sharing about the poor quality I have experienced.

Have since returned to Morrisons and bought a set for our daughter + another set for self....so 6 new pans for £24! Registered them online for the extra 9 years guarantee (10yr in total). This will replace the non-stick set purchased from M&S some 6+ years ago (£20) - can't understand how you would ruin pans unless you misuse them i.e. over heat /over cook / don't pay attention when using! As for copper pans don't think they are suitable for all types of cookers/hobs...but could be wrong! I'm happy with my bargain purchase anyway!

I got these in the sales last year and binned them last week in favour of the Tesco sale copper pots. Food burned on the bottom in 2 of the 3 pots from the outset.

They are stainless steel pans! How would they cause food to burn?? I've used plenty of different pans and stainless steel are the longest lasting ones we have. As for burning food, just turn the heat down, or keep an eye on the food when you cook it! Even my enamel pans stick if I don't stir or keep an eye on what I'm cooking! Non stick ones can be treated the wrong way too - they probably last around a year and a half before the non stick starts to flake or burnt bits sitck on!
