Must agree with you that this is a disgusting policy. Was going to buy a few but will wait for them from elsewhere

I remember last year when people were hyping the low supply of amiibo and eBay were having a field day with Villager, Wii Fit Girl and Marth. Then came the hype for Little Mac and Rosalina with both ridiculously rising in price on eBay to over £100, fools buying them from scalpers for the marked up price making the problem worse. Glad the supplies have recovered to meet demand leaving these scalpers with a load of unsold amiibo.

For the record I ordered 10 various Amiibo, came nicely packaged in a box, no complaints!

Was thinking about getting some of these, but the Disclaimer is putting me off. Would I be right in thinking Under the consumer Rights act, the seller must pay for returning goods that are faulty or damaged. (Any disclaimers that say otherwise are invalid arnt they? ).. Slightly bad if a company puts up stuff that says they are ignoring the law.....

I think they only mean the packaging??? if the actual item is damaged id assume they still replace??

You are correct here. They are basically trying to disclaim the law... You can't do that.

What did you use them for. I don't have/want smash bros, so I like the idea of amiibo, but no idea what they would do.

8 Jan 162#34
honestly, they don't do much. I've got loads just because I collect toys, but yeah. the functionality is nowhere near that of skylanders unfortunately
mario maker is probably the best one, you basically unlock the character of the amiibos you use.
the crazy thing is, mewtwo is a dlc character in smash bros. but if you have the mewtwo amiibo, you don't get the dlc character. so stupid. they should have made Smash Bros free to play, but you can only fight as your mii, and then any amiibo you buy, you unlock in the game

Unreal how these are as popular as they are. It blows my mind.
N's marketing department are almost as godlike as Legos's. Turn something completely useless that cost pence into dollar dollar bills.
I understand kids would be suckered into these, but adults with a basic knowledge of technology should know better.
They probably made more money from these than their last console!

its dlc for Nintendo games and a figurine

I still don't get these. I'm a Wii U owner and player, but I have no amiibo, nor do I have desire to get an amiibo.
Is this just a current day Beanie Baby thing?
I just bought a £3 Nintendo licenced figurine last year for my desk from Amazon, I don't get spending nearly £10 on figurines. I guess having one or two for smash bros for carrying around player data is sensible if you're a hardcore smash bros player. But collecting them all?

I find if you buy 2 at a time from shopto the sit nicely together in a jiffy and protect each other a bit better, but still a thin box would be nice does cost any more to ship either...

Got one in a bag once and it was crap. Card bent and the plastic that was glued to the card had nearly dropped off

Ultra HOT OP. I ordered 10 various Amiibo's, thats me started on the Smash Bros and Animal Crossing ones now and don't even have those games. I just can't help myself! I might just get them sent in a box for an order of 10 if I am lucky.

Yeah sadly I do collect new in box. So this is a risk. Bent cardboard I can deal with, I've repaired that before, it's the plastic that's hard to put back.
I have ordered four, but I was considering cancelling. Although ShopTo makes cancelling items needlessly complicated.

all sale amiibo will come in jiffy bags, ordered one a month ago when on sale at 9.85 and came in jiffy bag and mine didnt have disclaimer on the amiibo but still come in bag, they used be great sendin them out in boxes when they were 10.85 but think shopto dont care anymore since amiibo came easy to get and them havin to drop prices from their crazy 19.99 which they upped on some amiibo
