Family fun pack? Have these dudes ever played it with their family? I haven't spoken to my sister since she made me liquidate my railway network to stay in her 4 star hotel on park lane.

Genuine question. Is this as fun as the board game?

What's stores have people managed to find it in?

You can get a hardly used 70's deluxe version on Ebay for £15, less in some cases. The whole fun factor of the game is the interaction at a table rather than just staring at a screen the whole time. Kids also need to be away from their mobiles and iPads, as do adults.
I managed to get the wooden nostalgia version of Monopoly from Waterstones for £29.99. They were made in 2011 and have been discontinued. Not a bit of plastic in sight. Wooden houses, proper weighty brass pieces and nicely made property cards, old look money, nostalgic old school board. I'll take that all day over looking at a TV screen.

Only if you buy it new.
I picked up a mint condition set from the 70's in a charity shop for £2.50 just before Xmas

Thanks got 21 copies and traded 20 into CEX. £60 profit. Kept 1 because this is an Xbox One killer app.

Can this be played with just the one controller or will I need to buy an extra controller for each person that wants to play???

nothing beats playing monopoly proper way: on cardboard, with friends/family around the table (does everything need to be on-line / electronic nowadays?)

Doesn't need to be? But its:
Cheaper (board game is like £25)
Takes less space (can all sit around tv rather than trying to find a table or massive floor space. a lot of houses are pretty small these days!)
Faster to set up (no getting all pieces out and counting the cash)
Stop cheating (we've all got that make who grabs $400 when passing go!)
And when the games finally over and friendships are broken you can simply turn the game off rather than having to pick up all the pieces that have been thrown around in fits of rage
But yeah I do prefer the cardboard version ;-)

Any board game beats this repetitive, mindless, snowballing roll-and-move relict.

Not all CEX stores apply the same rules I recently found game to offer a better trade in price of £8 on a game and Cex was £4 weird eh and Cex would only up their price to £6.

Literally just take your word for it. We do in the Pontypridd store. If game offer £50 for something worth say £200 we'd offer £60 as they try beating us by 5% so we just round it off. We won't be beaten on price. Should be a nation wide thing, it's on all the POS posters.

Can't knock any game for £5, especially for the xbox one. No Sainsburys near to us. Hot post!

How would that work? Would it be as simple as: Take game to CEX, get price, say "Game will match any price you give plus £1, so I'd like you to match their offer and increase the trade in value of the game by £1?"
Is that the nationwide implementation of the policy or just your store manager?
Thanks!

CeX will also beat Game again then. I work for CeX. We've been told to drive the 'We Won't Be Beaten' policy.

Streets is streets ahead of this, pardon the pun  Seriously, it's a much better game. But probably more expensive, it's held it's price for ages.

Heat added for the price. If it's the same as the PS4 one, the rules are terrible and can't be customised. Makes it pretty much unplayable for me.

Ugh. Seems like Streets on X360 is still the best then. They released Monopoly Plus on XBox Marketplace for the 360, also unplayable.
