You cannot register the device as a 'personal use' device on a personal Microsoft account.
I bought a Surface Pro 3 a few weeks back on Gumtree from a guy who bought it for his business and just didn't like it so wanted to sell it. It was boxed and I got the business details but I cannot register as the serial is a 'enterprise' serial, when you register you get told that you can only register though the Microsoft business website.
The Surface works great, can use for personal use on my personal Microsoft account, just cannot register it but it does show on my Microsoft device list at Microsoft.com
So if you do get one, beware that this could be the same.
It would explain the price though, Misco sell 200 of them and they get heavy discounts but Microsoft offer the discount to corporations, not for resellers.

It's a non UK Manufacturer Part Number U5N-00003 - it's showing as £446 on another dodgy looking store (search part num)

Looking at the MS product code listed on the Misco site on Google returns a lot of sites with it listed as a demo product.

MISCO actually lists this as "Pricing Type Demo, commercial " so it looks like it is just a miss-listing.

I very nearly went for it, until I read https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.misco.co.uk

So looks like demo units then, a bit like the recent Currys/PC World sell off with the difference being these are new demo units. Not a major issue to those who bought the other demo units as a reinstall is easy enough wiping the demo code - at least it was easy on the Surface Pro 3.
Not interested myself, but you are protected with a credit card or Paypal so its maybe worth a punt as its a great price.
But the demo commercial to me confirms that these are 'Enterprise' edition machines.
Also linking in the EHS / 4yr warranty, this is a corporate insurance as the retail offer does not cover 4 years

Going to wait and see if it arrives before I shell out £100+ for the keyboard mind

Add says 128gb but details and tech specs mention 256gb....any idea which it is?

Also right at the bottom it mentioned demo/commercial. Can anyone clarify exactly what this means. As in limitations to its use? Or can you factory restore/wipe and have it good as new??

Or just as likely 128gb SSD with 4GB RAM but either way at this price it would be a bargain (even though it is sans keyboard). Sadly too good to be true.

Scrolling down the product spec says that it is the 256gb 8gb version...

The demo versions will be 128mb I5
The demo versions are just to allow users to experience the product.

Misco is ok we spend thousands a month with them at work

Was going to replace my MacBook 12 with this for this price although site seems dodgy so not touching it with a barge pole!

Not sure if the pro 4 is different then.
When I put serial in the website said i needed to contact Microsoft business as the device is a 'enterprise' corporate device. When I go to the Microsoft business webpage, I can download the drivers for creating a personalised recovery and I can see the extended warranty, but I cannot register to a personal Microsoft account.
I am not too bothered as I will only need to contact Microsoft if something goes wrong and sort it out then

Sympathy for the disappointment many of those who ordered will be feeling now. I didn't even bother ordering simply because I've been in your shoes with Misco. Great deal offered, but not fulfilled.

Money has been taken out of my PayPal account but my Misco account shows no orders. Thieves!

I risked it, asked for next day delivery and it has just arrived.

I wish....true reality is that after I checked companies house, and decided that although I was going to let it ride and take the gamble, I would give them a ring. Order was on credit held, even though paid for, and when speaking to the credit department they informed me the units were demos and not for resale....full credit immediately received.

Nothing ventured...nothing gained :-)

I've just called Customer Services at Misco. They said something about it being an "end of life" product and not in stock. They are checking but my order is likely to be cancelled. :disappointed:

I ordered last night about 6pm, PayPal payment taken straight away. Just received an email from PayPal notifying me of a refund, so I guess no luck for me.

I've just had an email from Misco advising of a shipment delay. The expected shipping date is now 9th February. I don't know whether to wait it out only to be told they can't fulfill the order or just cancel now.

Its in my order history now.

it was as scam. they cancel the purchase.

They have done thos before which is why i didnt bother. They should be banned from thid site.

If its a genuine error they should have spotted it much sooner. They clearly deliberately left it up.

Do a search on misco on this site to see what a bunch of cowboys they are. Every deal cancelled. Either scanmers and massively incompetent. Either way i wouldn't buy from them. I would say they are scammers. Hotukdeals mods please ban them.

Is 8gb needed for these? I really want one but worried that Windows is an inefficient power hungry hot beast that cooks the computer in two years.
