I've been looking around for a Nokia 640 deal and I came across this one in the vodafone store. Similar to the O2 deal that was out recently. If anyone can find this cheaper then please let me know because i'm seriously consider getting this one :)
It's currently £119 on argos and £109 on giffgaff

picked one up for £40 equiv at a Microsoft store in the States. Excellent phone and still great value at £79.

Nearly bought one myself when over there but i thought they were locked to A t&t and that the us versions work on different 4G/LTE wavebands to the uk. Did you have to do anything to make it work in the UK because i will be back in US in march

Recently been sent one from Nokia/Lumia to trial for myself, lovely phone but the apps I use aren't good/non existent on the Windows store, such a pity (for me anyway as I'd of got one)

Good price, I imagine it would be locked to Vodafone?

Unlock codes are about £10-16 if you need to use it on another network.
I had to go through MobileUnlocked to get mine unlocked.

We in the UK are not being offered this Lumia 640 as a good deal, even at £79.
Why? See the price in the USA; http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/AT-T--Microsoft-Lumia-640-Black--No-Contract/productID.320816400
Notwithstanding currency exchange differences and taxes why are we expected to pay over the odds in the UK?
Why not vote cold and leave well alone until the price comes down.
Several have pointed out that when the lumia 650 is finally launched in mid February the 640 price might be more realistic.
Leave well alone unless you are feeling generous.

The network operators have signed up to unlocking phones once out of contract(see which article), so should include phones they sell but not sure for definite.
