Typical internet response. Either something is the best thing ever OR a monumental fail.

Get knotted! A "travesty" is a huge exaggeration. Actually a solid addition to the Metroid canon - if losing a lot of the isolation/atmosphere of old. Certainly a steal for under £3.

Flubit came back with £2.91 and the instant offer price was of £2.90... not sure how this makes sense.

Travesty is just about fair imo... I wouldn't have been as gentle with my words!

Possibly but maybe someone who owns one can verify.

Pretty sure in Wii mode it just pretends to be a Wiimote with a classic controller plugged in. No? If this is the case it will not work with Other M. If, however, it has Gyros and IR (can be used to move the cursor around like a Wiimote on Wii games) then it may very well work on for Other M

It's a third party controller which has a switch on the back for Wii and Wii U games so works both ways, for the Wii portion it doesn't need the Wiimote.

My bad. Isn't this just a 3rd party wireless classic controller?
If so then no, it will not work with Other M. (As Other M requires a Wiimote)

That's the Gioteck Sports Controller you're thinking of while Gioteck GC-2 is the Wii U version of the controller. Point of the GC-2 is that it's compatible with Wii games and doesn't require the Wiimote.

Isn't the Gioteck GC-2 a PS3 controller? If you have a powerful PC and are willing to invest the time installing and configuring your controller to work with dolphin I don't see why not.. The Other M keybinds are finicky to say the least
Obviously it won't work on the Wii :innocent:
Of course buy the game if you're planning on playing it on dolphin.

Just Flubit'd and the instant low price is £2.90 so worth it for someone who doesn't want to go down to Argos.

Anyone ever tried Other M with Gioteck GC-2?

It's always been around this price though didn't really expect it to go hot.

I think I got this for around a quid when I bought Bayonetta 2 (limited edition). I agree I too thought it's usually around this price; nearly posted it myself but didn't bother thinking it would go cold!

It had its flaws yes but I loved the game nonetheless, well worth this price imo. Have some heat!

The game itself was riddled with control issues. Heck I couldn't even play it until recently when I used a 360 controller with dolphin. The constant shift from using the wiimote horizontally like a controller to re-orientating to pointing it at the screen to fire some missiles then quickly back again to dodge incoming fire was clunky and unintuitive.
A stark contrast to the seamless, wall jumping ninja of old, Other M samus could barely walk and fire at the same time. Wall jumping can also only be performed in the pre-designed "wall jump" sections.. I loved wall jumping, prime did remove it but added horizontal booting in an attempt to compensate
Not even going to mention the complete degradation of Samus' character. This game was a disgrace.
For £3 it's probably worth a play just so you can choose a side :innocent:

I really enjoyed this game and loved the control mechanics of switching view perspectives by pointing the Wii remote. All in all, I found it an atmospheric, entertaining and very well polished game.

Ok "travesty" was a bit harsh, but compared to the previous games it really is utter balls. I suppose for £2.99 though it's worth a go...

Good deal but a travesty of a game. Can't believe what they did with Samus.
