Seriously, why run 9.5 km in a vest. Should really only be used for strength training like hill sprints, strides on soft surfaces, running on sand, sand dunes would be a killer work out

You've no idea how/why I train the way I do .I skip rope nonstop for 30-45 mins daily.
You probably wouldn't question someone going for a run with a weighted rucksack, I actually happen to prefer a weighted vest with its better weight distribution., I've run with the RDX vest weighed up to 20kg and was just putting this 10kg vest to the test hence my comment. You wouldn't understand if perhaps all you seek is strength.
I train for speed (& agility) without compromising power (or strength if you like) as you'll likely glean from my comments on various sports and accessories related threads
Thanks

went for a 9.5km run this eve while wearing the vest, got back to discover the mesh stitching is now fraying at the back !
very comfortable in use but somehow I don't see this vest lasting very long

I tried earlier today and failed lol. I then tried using the wall and I could feel my upper chest and deltoid being hit, hopefully my strength will increase enough to do them properly. Thanks for the suggestion
You're right, these two look like they'll last a lot longer:
I picked up the vest last night & used it for skipping & my agility speed ladder drills earlier this morning. I must admit the vest is like a second skin,no discomfort at all. It's not as heavy as the RDX weighted vest but the 4 buckles do a better job of securing it to the body compared to the two long velcro straps of the RDX. The 4 buckled straps facilitate fine tuning the tightness on the body and with just a bit of contortion all the securing straps are reachable for micro adjustments while wearing the vest. Once secured there's very little lateral movement and no chafing at all during use , there is a little vertical movement and I discovered at the end of my drills that the meshing over the right shoulder had separated but the actual vest remains ok . I 'll be returning to Argos for an exchange and put in some reinforcing stitches over the shoulders when I get the new one.
All in all a very good fitness accessory especially for 20£!
many thanks OP for sharing!!

Tried it on, heavier than i though but maybe its due to weighing only 70kg myself, managed 8 pull ups and died. Found it very easy to put on and tighten, not like the argos reviewers. Just hold the buckle on the left with the left hand, reach around your back with the right, grab cord and pull, simple.

Picked mine up before too and didn't realise the removable weights were taken out from the inside. Noticed two D loops on the back of the vest so wonder if that's used for more weights?

Strange the way argos have increased the price to more than the original price before the sale as £49.99 originally then £24.99 on offer before code applied and now £54.99
Wonder if it was a pricing mistake on there behalf
dunno to NFS

It isn't a mistake. The new catalogue came out today - they have increased the price on a lot of items.

I was looking into buying a weight vest to make decline push ups harder, I decided I was better off purchasing a rucksack, ziplock bags and sand (30kg) which comes in at £16.52, probably not a good idea if you plan to use it when running.
As for vests, there's a cheaper vest on eBay, 10kg vest for £17.99:

You have to select the fast track pickup option . You prepay then pickup in the fast track lane in store. That should give you the option to enter the core before payment
