I've managed fine keeping them on the track, once you've worked out what pressure to put on the trigger they keep going round and round.

Won't vote cold as cheap, however it really is a seriously bad product, that your kid won't look at the next day after day 1, let alone play. Terrible stuff, not that Carrera are always bad, they make a really good wireless RC Bowser/Yoshi/Mario car for about £59.99 RRP in Smyths and other retailers, great for playing outside in the street, and holds a charge for ages.
completely agree, I paid £55 for this and the kids couldn't even get it to do the loop. returned for a full refund to argos a week later. :disappointed:

My son had this for Xmas and after spending ages building it the cars don't even stay on the track! I wouldn't bother wasting my money!

So there is an element of skill which some people are yet to master, thinking a 4year old can get round the course at full throttle

Hot from me, we bought it for my son last Xmas and once you've mastered it it's a great track, paid a lot more than this.

Nowt wrong with the carrera set we got for Xmas.
Parts are of decent quality and it is drivable... Once you master the speed / cornering they do stay on the track.

think people getting confused with the nobrand Mario kart race set from b&m
though that track does look short for the loop, small accelerate and breaking areas.. buy 2 sets for that price  and make a bigger track

You will need an above your average sized living room for that.
Its low entertainment value, just hold down button and watch cars go round and round, until they come off sooner or later (usually sooner). Kids quickly bore of this. Even the scalpers would avoid this rubbish.
Best getting the Knex Mario Kart building sets which have moterised parts, are visually more appealing and engaging for kids also. More choice of cars/characters, flexibility with the build and lots of sets (beach/ice/bowsers lava/mushroom etc).
Honestly some might thing worth a punt at the price this deal, but expect to be dissapointed even with it being so cheap.

If you can find it again for £12.50, purchase and return on old receipt.
I've done it enough times that I don't even think twice about it if it's Xmas time. They don't have an issue if you have a resaleable item and a valid receipt or proof of purchase. Most companies at Xmas have a returns policy extended to the end of January.

Good Price if you can get one. I got one on the John Lewis offer the other week. Its not as bad as people say, the supports are a bit rubbish but better than the B&M battery powered set some mention. (That track is compatible with this one too). My 5 year old can get the cars to do the loop so reckon those that have spat their dummy out over this one didn't notice the boost button on the control that you only really use on the loop. Heat added, if i see one in tesco i'll get another to extend the track we have
I think this is a set that fires the cars around the track, rather than the set originally mentioned on this thread, which controls the cars individually allowing you to slow them down and speed them up when needed.
