Zack Snyder directs this action adventure feature, produced by Christopher Nolan and based on the DC Comics hero. After being sent to Earth by his parents to prevent him from dying in the destruction of his home planet Krypton, an infant boy is taken in by Kansas farmer Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) and his wife Martha (Diane Lane), who name the child Clark. Growing up Clark (Cooper Timberline/Dylan Sprayberry) begins to discover the true potential of the superpowers he possesses but with this comes a sense of responsibility. In his 20s Clark (Henry Cavill) gets a job as a newspaper reporter at 'The Daily Planet' where he meets and later becomes romantically involved with colleague Lois Lane (Amy Adams). When an evil force threatens the Earth and its inhabitants, Clark resumes his true identity as a superhero and fights to save the planet. Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe and Laurence Fishburne co-star.

Why people dislike Superman Returns is a mystery to me. It's the perfect homage to the original and Man of Steel was great aswell - the scenes between Clark and his father were moving.

This movie divides opinion like no other, I personally don't understand why some people don't like it. Great action, great story...OK some of the dialogue was a bit dodgy but all in all a great sci-fi action flick.

One of the most disappointing films I've seen,I was really looking forward to seeing it too but it was just one constant over the top CGI all the way, too much use of it.

So tell me good sir. How else are you meant to show an alien superpowered being who (at the time is the only one capable of doing so) taking on a bunch of other evil kryptonians using two gigantic terraforming devices to essentially turn the entire planet into a deformed version of itself?
I don't get people sometimes. Complaints for years about how Superman never does anything major (Leaning Tower of Pisa, Lifting a Krrptonite Island REALLY!) and now we finally get that to the power of 100 in this film and yet still complaints. Simple question what do you guys REALLY want in a Superman film? :/

You definitely would have walked out of Genisys and asked for a refund. It's that bad. :stuck_out_tongue:

It had Dildo rockets to banish Zod and his cohorts - I thought I was watching Flesh Gordon for a few seconds!

Awful movie, the worst Superman movie ever made.
But it's a really good price if you like it.

Certainly more watchable than Fantastic Four 2015 and Terminator Genisys, though.

Yeah but £2.99 for all the Alien films is a pretty decent price even if it is DVD.

Think the bigger deal here may be that Alien Quadrilogy boxset for £2.99 or 2 for a £5 Deal
