"It hovers around the £13/15 mark"... but from UK sites known for selling genuine stuff, so pointless comparison. We can buy lots of cheap things from gearbest if really needed ...but memory cards ? No, too much risk of getting fake one.

Personally I would pay the extra £2.65 (not that i dont trust bang good) but i do trust amazon ;-)
Ordered one from GearBest a couple of months ago, it took forever to arrive and wouldn't work after it had been formatted. Not worth it.

Just a heads up I went for two of these last time they was posted on here (Nov) and they never arrived. I've had to take it up with Paypal because GearBest are not replying to my emails.

My samsung 32gb card arrived 6 weeks after ordering. Maybe is better to order from amazon for two pounds extra and get faster delivery.
I tested card with h2testw software on windows and it is confirming the size 32gb.

How can you tell it is genuine? software? which software? My local cex is selling these sealed packaging.

Use the h2testw software it's free to download and works perfectly for testing fake memory.
Also sealed packaging means nothing when buying memory because the counterfeiters are good at copying the packaging.

If you have an Android phone, I know there are a few apps on the play store that claim to be able to spot a fake. Also there are some windows apps too. Irrespective of a fake check, I would always test any storage devices before putting them to proper use.

I bought one the exact same and it's due to be replaced tomorrow due to failure ironically. So..I've logged on to check and it seems it's "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon" but on the reviews the top one reckons it's a fake...Review here, So I'll be checking carefully tomorrow.

bought this exact same card from Amazon for £14 and it stopped working after 2 weeks of being in phone. credit to Amazon they refunded the money... they asked for the card to be sent back and I said no... data protection.. the card was still readable but couldn't be written to. they excepted that no problem. I'm not going to buy the same card again though .... sure they are fine but once born and all that.

But did you buy it of Amazon themselves or from Amazons marketplace? as there is a big difference.
If it was of an Amazon marketplace seller you are quite likely to get a fake card.

Thank God I looked here before buying one I'd rather not risk a fake. Damn I bought one before for £18 on Rakuten if only I'd know the Amazon was cheaper. :disappointed:

I ordered a similar card from Gearbest at the beginning of December. They charged my credit card immediately but didn't mail until a week or so ago. Not yet received it. If you're in a hurry, it's not worth it. Hopefully it will arrive, but I doubt I'll order from them again
