Lidl in store canadian frozen whole lobsters with claws. Were £5.99, reduced to £4.99, along a whole lot of other food bought for Christmas. Probably nationwide. Found in the Ashford, Kent store

These weren't killed, they died from malnutrition.

I prefer lobsters
There were quite a few reduced prices for two, but not for lobsters :disappointed:

Will these make me speak Quebec French if I eat them on a daily basis?

I think I might have been unlucky on the one occasion I tried these... I tried them with my then girlfriend and they were absolutely tasteless and rubbery! Not a nice experience. I love lobster, probably over steak, and I happily pay £30+ for a lobster meal in an nice restaurant.
I will try these again, give them the benefit of the doubt, thanks for the heads up OP!

It's been several years since I bought this lobster from Lidl, but this is the normal price for a frozen lobster
Over the years, I've bought them for generally over £5, but though many supermarkets seem to stock them, they don't actually have any in stock. These Canadian ones are quite tasty I find, though they are about two thirds of the size of the 'fresh' supermarket ones which cost £8 or more. Most of the meat is in the tail and claws

Lobster is massively overrated... as already said, bland and a right pain to prep.

I might nip out to buy one of these bargains. I'm still feeling the pinch from Christmas.

I have had the ones at Iceland (£4.99 regular price I think), not sure how they compare.

Well I tried a few of this, it is tasteless not anywhere near if you compared it to Lobster that you bought local supermarket or fish market. Not worthy even at this price ...
If they are uncooked, probly will taste better ...
