Samsung J5 is technically (hardware specs) the best due to AMOLED screen and 1.5gb ram.
Moto G 3rd gen 8gb version so under £100 only have 1gb ram, the 16gb version has 2gb and better performance. 16gb is £160+ usually.
M4 is good on paper, should be good but has performance and storage issues (google end user reviews).
The question is of those phones which will get software updates to the OS ? Moto G will, Samsung / LG probably and the rest...? P8 Lite isn't getting Andorid 6, Motorola is pushing it out around the world already (not UK yet).

Bloat.................... includes all the crappy apps that the manufacturer thinks you want and need.
But you don't really because they just take up your storage space that YOU need for the apps that YOU want.
Manufacturers know what we want............ NOT!

1.5GB RAM on the Samsung and 1GB RAM on the Motorola. The Motorola is near enough stock Android and the Samsung is completely bogged down by bloat ware so you can't actually claim that 1.5GB RAM is better in this instance.
Which phone is the best in your opinion?Motorola moto G 3rd,LG G4C or Samsung J5? They're at the same price right now.

Personally I would not go for the P8 Lite it's a really nice phone but the battery life is very poor. We purchased one and while it has great specifications with no data connection and only wifi on in the house when needed, and we have take the screen brightness down to as low as we can the battery lasts about a day and a half.
We also have a Moto G 3rd Gen and the battery with data and wifi on all the time the battery lasts on average about three days.
If I were choosing a phone I'd go for the Moto G 3rd Gen

The M4 Aqua has a decent camera and dedicated camera button. It is also waterproof so if you like to use it to take a lot of snaps outdoors at festivals and that then its a good call, for me the screen is a bit dull with poor viewing angles and its a bit laggy. The Moto G will have a nice enough screen and will get updates quicker than the others I would imagine being vanilla pretty much. The 720p Amoled on the J5 will be a beaut and the extra RAM should help with any performance issues. I have no experience of the G4C and have not really heard anything about it, LG mid rangers are usually very unpopular because they are £160 ish and you can get the real deal in a G3 for £190 if you look hard enough.
code only works on bundles it seems ,also i cant add a phone to my basket if i choose to keep my own sim ...

Weird comparison - the Mi4c is a Chinese phone you can only get on import & it is at least 50% more expensive.

How do these compare to the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6?
shedloads to Gambler
13 Jan 16#28
If you don't mind the extra size of the screen on the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 then it beats them all. The Ultra 6 is not just good on paper, it's actually an excellent phone. But all these phones have been designed for different target customers and each has a design that may override bare technical specifications of another.

I bought a LG G4c from Vodafone before Christmas and planned to network-unlock it on eBay for a few quid. Unfortunately, sellers couldn't do this until Vodafone had registered the phone on the database they use for the unlock. In my case, this took two weeks before any seller on eBay was able to unlock it. Just a heads up

Would the G4c be a step up from my now ageing HTC One X? I've looked at specs and it looks like it may be a downgrade, but I am in need of a new phone!

Thanks to everyone who helped me to make a choice.
I'll go for a new Motorola G Moto, which is slightly faster than Samsung J5 (Benchmarks and responding time).
It has Gorilla glass and it's waterproof.

Would recommend the ultra 6, got one a while ago off Amazon for £99, emailed them yesterday as the price had gone up to £115 because I wanted another for the wife and they reduced it to £99.

I was all set to order from Argos last week as had a £10 off £100 from Amex but they were out of stock.

M4 seems the best of the bunch. Fastest processor with an octocore snapdragon, more ram and marshmallow update fixes the storage concerns. It's basically a cheaper version of the z3.

I have a P8 lite too and initially the battery was a problem, but once I got rid of gmail and the google now launcher which are known battery hogs its been absolutely fine.
Build quality is pretty good too.

Was looking at a smartphone as a potential dedicated music player esp if they have a micro sd port. May look at some of the suggestions in this post.

By Specs the P8 Lite is best among all these phones having better processor, better ram and better camera.
Any of these compare well against the first gen Moto G?
Edit: Never mind all the screens are too big. MotoG was 4.5".

Looking for a phone for texting, facebook, photos and videos, which of these would you recommend? I'm leaning towards the M4 Aqua. Is there any others around this price that I should consider?
Thanks, Shaun

Actually Samsung has toned that down a lot with their latest phones. I have an S6 and there was almost no bloatware on it whilst the M4 Aqua, which I have as well and that has only 8GB of storage, was full of ****.
