Seriously looking this over. SWMBO has given permission.... Loads of info out there for this model 79UF770V (US version 79UF7700)..
Dont know why they are bundling in a third rate blu ray player though. 2% off for executive costco members.

Also considering this TV. Saw it in store for 3300ish on saturday. Had a look online and now cheaper. I've never used 3d on any of my TVs so this would suit me well as I don't want to pay extra to have 3D feature

Great to finally see that the OLED prices are starting to have a big impact on LCD 4K. Love this screen and for the money the size is fantastic...and for the distance Ill be viewing from (13 ft), I'll need at least this to be able to see the increase in resolution.
Still running my 60 inch Kuro Plasma that was calibrated last year and still out performs many current 4k (non OLED screens) but really thinking I should be holding off for an 80 inch 4K OLED in another 18 months or so.
But if you need a very big 4K screen right now and don't want to spend BIG money on OLED, this is a great screen to buy

Maybe because of the metric conversion? 79 inches = 2 metres (200.66CM, anyway), give or take... 200cm is an impressive number for marketing

entry level 4k TV, not much functionality and sort of mediocre picture quality. It's a 2014 model hence no surprise that LG is liquidating the stock

I would recommend anyone with the spare £3K to hold off from getting a new TV for another 12m or so, as large screen OLED TVs should come into that range. Even a 65 inch OLED would offer far better value for the money than this 79inch set

I'm very careful about which products I buy and from whom, and I only use quidco when it doesnt corrupt my purchasing choice. You can easily accumulate that kind of money from household and car insurances, broadband swaps, capital purchases etc.

Theyre a bit fussier than that, i think you need to be a civil servant, or retired public sector, its a bit weird, I presume a qualification for membership is some kind of tax loophole (there's a VAT discrepency between online purchases for members and non members), it also makes theft a lot less likely.

You must have an extremely good spec computer to run games at 4K 60fps. I wouldn't recommend an LG TV for gaming if you're into online FPS as their input lag has always been quite high in comparison to other companies (I don't know the exact input lag on this TV so I could be wrong)

Online reports do make reference to a lag issue. It says the lag is fine for 4k stuff but 1080p stuff thats scaled up to 4k it is quite poor.
