Only 2 hdmi and not smart. Good price for the size, though surprised by the lack of hdmi for such a big tv.

Tbh 1 is more than enough, if you rely on HDMI/TV speakers your not really that into your tech that much. Anyone who understands much about current tech would have all your Media, PC, Consoles, Satellites plugged into an Amp so only need 1 HDMI going from AMP>TV

however if you're using an amp over a year or so old it won't be hdmi 2 enabled so won't be able to transfer much more than 24/30 fps in 4k. which sucks.

I appreciate amps have HDMI ports. Not everyone will want or have an amp. Plus if you add an amp then it bumps the price up.

Nothing much outputs in 4K but your TV will upscale it. Same as a sky box attached can only output 1080p but you TV will upscale to 4K. In the same respect I doubt much plugged into your amp at the moment will have a 4K output so won't make much difference what's coming from it as the TV cpu will handle all the signal

Sky is rolling out their 4k tv channels in summer, not long left now

I think sky is only 720p or 1080i. currently my main way of watching anything on my 4k TV is either ultralight, Amazon or Netflix, all of which are displayed using my tvs smart features. so with this TV you would need to purchase a 3rd party streaming box like an nvidia shield or a firebox 4k to reap the benefits of the TV for now. upscale stuff is OK but it's not a patch on native 4k material.

Hows this compared to the Hisense 65" for £999?

Seriously ... Ok let look at my setup that I display on my TV .. PC, PS4, Xbox One, Vu+Solo2 Sat box, Sumvision media box .. so thats 5 HDMI. Where do they feed .... straight into my Onkyo 608 Amp.

Perhaps you'd have more money if you'd bought a TV with more than one HDMI port and not had to buy an expensive amp to make up for the lack of HDMI's .
P.S. Other peoples opinions (r.e. required number of HDMI ports they require for THEIR personal set up) may differ from your own. It still doesn't make them wrong .
Happy new year <3

I have a old Samsung Series 5 50" Plasma I'm looking to upgrade. It has 4x on the back and 3x on the side ... and I use one.
I don't understand why someone would pay £1k+ then rely on 2x 10-20w speakers for sound quality.
Never said they were wrong someone actually said my comment was rubish when I pointed out that you don't really need more than one.
Happy New year

or is soundbar also banned among AV purists ?

Then plug your hmm 'I dont know 'HDMI cables into your soundbar .. ohh 'hmm i do know' wait ... you cant.
(Soundbars are better in most cases than the TV speakers and a cheap way of doing it.)

Most of my amplification is 2nd. hand, Marantz Pre and Pwr amp so doesn't have to break the bank !
But I do love speakers (Monitor Audio, Dali. etc.)

UF OLED is still expensive and CES is on the way, which mean real 4k HDR might be available soon.
