Bought this TV, 55" just before Christmas and paid £799. For the money I'd say there is nothing out there to better it. 4K picture quality through Amazon Prime/ YouTube & Netflix is superb. HD looks that little bit sharper & vibrant and even SD picture seems more watchable. Had to play around with the picture for a few weeks to get what I view as an excellent overall picture.

I liked the look of this but with CES 2016 and the UHD Alliance certification being touted around, I've decided to wait. I'm sure many of the 2015 4K devices will get the certification.

Awful pictures on fast moving scenes such as sports and movies. Trust me I had to return this product as the fact of paying for a 4k tv was not to have my sports and movies spoilt .
I tired all settings and even called LG for advice but the processor is just too slow.

Looked at this yesterday. Just been to look at it at Currys before ordering and looking at the web site it's now up £50....slow again I guess
Correction still same at RGB it's Marks that has gone up.
I have this TV and have zero complaints, easy to use, great picture and decent upscaling (even of SD material)

I have been stalking the 43" version of this but if its not a "True 4K" as people say i might try something else, i know 43" for 4K is not really worth bothering about but i want the best bang for my buck and 43" not 40" like most manufacturers sell.

If you can suffer a 49" then Currys have the 850V for £629
Maybe , maybe not but without HDR is a lost cause. I was considering a new bedroom to.
Am holding out two to three months now

The LG model mentioned in the review is the 690V and NOT the 770V in this post so unsure how you can make that conclusion?
As stated by Andy365 above, all the 7 series models have VP9 for the 4k experience.

Avoid if you are looking for a true 4K experience.

Again, why? This seems the full uhd montie, and it has hdmi 2.0 inputs. Ive heard a few concerns about input lag on the xxUF770V range, but i havent read any concerns about the actual quality of the image. There are plenty of reviews both professional and purchasers. The biggest complaint seems to be it isnt as good as the OLED range, but then nothing is.
I'm currently eyeing up the 79inch version of this at Costco. I would be interested as to why you think it is a hobbled 4k.

I thought it was only the 6 series that were faux 4k/no vp9 and that the 7 series was full 4k/full 4k youtube?
