1 year warranty on a tv is very poor

Here u go for the 5 years but it's actually £10 more.
I bought this TV from John Lewis in October and initially I was very disappointed with the picture and colour rendering out of the box and with the various standard settings. Motion blur and washed out colours didn't impress me especially given that at the time I paid upwards of £600 for it - after *a lot* of tweaking with the motion blur and colour settings it's fine now (although still not as natural a picture as the Samsung plasma it replaved) so I personally can't justify the 4* plus ratings I've seen left on John Lewis and others. Don't get me wrong the HD picture quality is much better on a 4k TV than a HD TV alone but I just wasn't prepared for the crap out-of-box experience. On the flip side it's a good TV overall with Smart features plus the ability to record TV (using an external hard drive or USB stick) and this price is particularly good, so heat added for that.

In addition, I'm finding the viewing angles are poor also - fine if you're looking directly at the panel and your eyeline is at the same level, but any lateral or vertical movement for instance viewing at a slightly elevated and angled position has the effect of looking a sort of sheen on the display - something like looking at a cheap computer laptop display with similarly poor viewing angles. Truth be told I wish I'd kept the packaging as by now if it wasn't so much of a hassle looking for a replacement I would have used the John Lewis 90 day return policy and sent it back - I guess however unless I spend much more on an OLED TV all 4k LED/LCD TVs have some problem or other. Sorry if this sounds negative - the deal itself looks good, but forewarned is forearmed.
