Just tried the HOME20 code hoping it would work but no luck as £360 for this and I would have had it... As it stands the 4K set for slightly more at tesco is probably the better deal. Sucks there's never any stonking deals when you really need something, only when you don't lol :stuck_out_tongue:

This is a good price for this TV, but as things currently stand I'd question the wisdom of buying a Full HD set when the equivalent 4K set is around 20-25% more in price, specially for a TV over 32'' in size. You'll get 4x the resolution with a 4K panel, it would be future proof to a substantially greater extent, and you WILL see a massive improvement in picture quality with 4K material. Even if it doesn't have the latest bells and whistles e.g. HDR, OLED, I'd still got for a 4K panel if my budget can stretch to that.

Anyone have this tv and could comment the picture quality on football etc as I have the 47 650v and the banding is shocking so far I have had new panels fitted and its getting worse.

Don't know whether to go for this or the Sony Tesco deal that's hot on here.
Or should I stretch for 4k?
Got to make sense if you can reach that price. A Six year guarantee must be worth £100 alone.

Problem is the majority of what people will be viewing is HD, and on the cheaper 4K sets HD can often look worse than it would on the equivalent size 1080p model as well as result in poorer motion (due to lower refresh rates) and higher input lag for gaming. The fact that the prices for a 4K TV of this size range from £500 to £1k+ suggests there are a lot of corners being cut in the cheaper models to get to that price point. The problem is it's so difficult to figure out what the differences are because the meaningful specifications are hidden behind all the advertising jargon.

Why are they still making TV's with only 2 HDMI inputs!!! Surely nobody uses Scart anymore

While shops are still full of DVD's its clear that the public hasn't even moved onto Full HD yet. I've spent enough rebuying my favourite movies on Bluray, I'm certainly in no rush to do it all again in 4K!! Plus living in the sticks means barely being able to stream normal HD let along 4K material. I think 4K is a bit like 3D - a gimmick that the buying public is wise to.
That said I'd be all over this TV if it had more than 2 HDMI inputs.
