I have the 34 inch ultrawide and it's superb. Not quite as demanding as a full 1440p monitor either. I'd say if you're getting high fps at 1080p then a 2560x1080 ain't gonna make a huge difference. Prob 5-10 if you're keeping everything maxed. You obviously have the option to knock down settings aswell. I use a gtx 980 running this monitor at 75hz. You can pick up the lg34um57 for about £310 and worth it imo.

Can you use a free sync monitor with an nvidia graphics card? I know it might sound like a stupid question but gsync is much more expensive

Seriously considering this, but id like to ask what games u play and any issues.
Do you come across many games that dont support 2560x1080p?
Regards.

No but you can get 75hz over a display port cable which is what I currently use. G sync mark up is crazy but I'm more than happy with 75hz at 2560x1080.

As in you can use a freesync monitor, but not have freesync enabled. To make it clear, I'm using a Nvidia gtx 980 at 75 hz on the 34 inch ultrawide - Lg34um57

Only one I've had any dramas with is Ark. Developers have said they will support tho. I play Squad, CS GO, rocket league to name just a few.

CSGO doesnt support 21:9 ratio. It runs the resolution at 16:9. Also i had the LG34UM95 and the input lag was huge. It said 5ms but was alot lot more, to the point where i couldnt actually hit anything. For MMOS and other games it was ok, but FPS stay away. I ended up getting a refund from Amazon and buying an Acer Predator and its been much better for fps.

Ye the UI on csgo isn't optimised but actually in game it's fine. I'm using the lg34um57 has a 4ms response time which it actually has. I've been playing Squad and a load of others and it's all good.

I have a 29" Asus and the extra display space is fantastic. Was initially holding out for a 34" with more than 1080 for increased vertical space, but prices are at least double - but am extremely happy with my Asus now that I have it. Highly recommend it.

Just in case anyone looks back at this deal, I've just received this from ebuyer. The basics, quidco tracked at just over £4. The delivery was Yodel (shudder) they called twice while I was out but left no card to call type thing, nevermind, they called again when the missus got home "It's bigger than I thought it would be" (snigger).
The screen is fantastic, like some other reviews, it's a 1080p + about a third, windows recognised the resolution and adjusted with no issues.
Fits 2 windows (i.e. browsers) side by side perfectly, played BF4, it didn't make me any better but I noticed no lag, I've got a GTX 960 and set it to "high" settings, have vsync set to on and stuck at bang on 60FPS without moving (unless between games when it dropped to 30)
