I'm in the same boat as everyone. Looking for bayonet bulbs but stock and cost seems higher. Has anyone tried the Bayonet to Edison converters? I'm thinking of just converting them all to Edison

Beware of cheap LED bulbs. I bought 4 generic bulbs last year for a magnificent £8. Just over a year on, I've edited my Amazon review to reflect that only 2 are still working. Nothing wrong with the LEDs, in fact they are fantastic and WILL lower electricity bulbs hugely. However the switch mode power supplies which step the 230 (or whatever it really is) down are cheap, nasty, and rubbish. THey will cost you a small fortune in replacement bulbs. I'm not sure which works out cheaper to operate overall, but I do find changing bulbs irritating.

Aberdeen, Elgin, Dundee, Glenrothes and Perth all come up as stock.

for some reason, Dunelm Mill have very good prices on light bulbs, much better than supermarkets. I stocked up when I discovered that.

I have recently bought some led filament bulbs, they are so much better than the standard led bulbs which I bought from home bargains, brighter and better light spread. Got mine from Aliexpress for £2.20 a bulb.

2 points to make about LED Lamps

1.. Don't go by the wattage its lumen's I have sourced thro my work same wattage and a difference of 200/300 lumens between the cheap one and dearer one also the cheaper lamps have there LED Chip ramped up to the max because its a cheap chip the give a brighter output ,,, So a good saying to go by here Buy Branded and replace once Buy Cheap Unbranded Replace a few times !!!!!!

2.. Cheap sales trick used by retailers brin in LTD Stock advertise heavy run out then you buy a another brand and they make more GP out of you !!!!!

I bought these bulbs a couple of weeks ago. They are very good and I recommend you these. I have been trying to get some more but they have been out of stock everywhere since . Yesterday in Edmonton branch I went personally and asked the sales assistant when they will be in stock. He said he can't give me a date.

led are getting cheaper,im my bathroom i got a 10w lamp is soo bright and doesent use mucg electricity.Also i replaced my spotlight in the kitchen,the original bulb were i think 25w each (i got 5,small kitchen)the led were 5w each.Hot for me.

I got the last of the bayonet bulbs near me last week and there rely nice they give a good warm light and they turn on instantly which is a nice novelty compared to my old energy saving bulbs used to have which took ages to warm up. In short highly recommended!
