Same price as Black Friday, which also happened to be the best price for it from a decent UK seller. Good deal.

Currys were giving 10% quidco for iPads on Black Monday.
I used them and got the 32GB model.
Nice tablet that runs much better than my Android ones.

Worth checking the in store reductions at JL - they often have plenty of iPads in the sale.

I was going to get this for £199.
Then I found a Dell Venue 8 7840 on eBay for £199. It is slightly bigger (8.4), and is even lighter by 30g! And has a high 359 ppi!
Then I checked retail, and is it usually £350. So I bought it cause I would just use Paypal protection if it was dodgy, I also used next day delivery to make sure I would get it, and I did. Thing worked absolutely fine, and I finally found my perfect tablet for reading ebooks on.
Highly recommend that tablet, people should look for decent prices on it if they can find any. Bigger and lighter, and newer and faster. All I cared about was the weight, something for reading, so being bigger was just a bonus, not a necessity.

Pathetic deal. This tablet is two versions out of date now and is only now coming down to the price it should have been all along. Don't believe the hype about Apple's stuff being more reliable. Yes of course they last longer than some crappy £50 no brand tablet, but you only have to go around the £100 mark for something Android that will last as long. Apple do more updates, but most people don't really give a **** about updates. They'll leave that little red 1 sitting there until I come along and point it out.

Heat added. Lol why everytime is there always a droid hater on every Apple deal on here. Funny how the only people who complain about Apple products are the people who can't afford luxury and always insist on price being the determining factor, would rather pay the premium for unparalleled build quality as opposed to buying for the sake of price.

I guess so but 16GB will get filled in no time and then you'd get messages saying no space left!
Always better to go for higher capacity unless you're just going to be using standard iOS apps all the time.

I hate Apple products and iTunes to sync dreadful, but alas have bought a number of iphones, watches and ipad for family so this is a good deal. I went for two ipad 2 in a JL deal a while back but 32gb, at the time the Apple store had the 2 and 4 side by side, I could not tell the difference in terms of speed etc. guess not an issue as long as Apple still support updates

Mini to the Mini 2 was a huge spec jump. 2 to 3 not so much, finger print reader.
The 4 was a slight improvement again.
The moral is the 2 is an iPad Air, anything else is incremental improvements so this is a sweet spot in the range.
