cold for the mear fact silentnight are probably the worst mattress maker I have ever seen. I have now over the years had a few of their mattresses and they are all cheap cr*p and more to the point uncomfortable to sleep on. my 3 year old currently has on and it's ok for him as he is only 3 and is light. in a few years there is no way he will still be sleeping on it.

I don't understand how anyone could buy a mattress without trying it? we're in the market for a new mattress and went to try some last Sunday. They vary so much and would be afraid of buying offline or through a catalog in case i didnt like it.

I tell people this all the time. When buying a mattress no way in hell would I not try it first!
If you have to sleep on the thing every night for the next few years, you really need to know if it's comfortable or not (and I've tried many that aren't).

decent price for a Hygena branded Ottoman bed, however please beware the hydraulics and the bed will start to break after use. The headboard will come loose and the bed will hang by a board. Buy a divan instead.

Break after how long? Can you pls be specific? Ours is good. May be yours was faulty or bad installation. Mattress is good too. 683 pockets are fine.

The Hygena name is not what it used to be and the quality is nowhere near what it used to stand for. It is more akin to the quality associated with the Sportsdirect products which use famous names which used to be associated with quality.
Buyers beware.

I have something similar and mine has a raised metal frame to stop the mattress from falling. You can only select either the right or left side to lift from as you install the mechanism on the side you want.
The Q&A section is misleading. If you take a closer look at the pictures on Argos you can see in the picture, where the bed is fully lifted, that the mechanism is installed to only open one way and looks like how mine is. You can zoom into the picture to see it properly.
Hope that helps

Most ottoman beds are designed with a sprung slat bed base or a non-slip top which supports and securely holds the mattress in place, preventing it from sliding off when you have to lift up the base and access the storage area. In the case of a side opening ottoman bed, one side of the bed frame is higher than the other allowing the mattress to stay in place.

better off getting an divan ottoman they are more solid and don't creak for the same price too. Not a big fan of these cheap metal frames with flimsy wood slats.

Are you using FURN20?

Buyers beware.
The 1000 pocket spring on silentnights website is £215 https://shop.silentnight.co.uk/all-mattresses/pocket-spring-mattresses/comfort-pocket-1000-mattress.html? so not so sure this is much of a bargain on the mattress alone.
