II have a number of the red trust mice from Tesco. They are not the same as this mouse. The Trust mice have a single AAA battery that only has a very short life, so much so that I have resorted to using eneloop rechargeables. The Z4000 mice use 2 AA batteries which supposedly last up to 24 months.

Got one of these for £4.99 in store back in November for my wife's laptop. Nice and compact but very usable. The batteries still seem to be cruising too. Solid price!

If it works for me, it should be the same for anyone. So stick an HP logo on a mouse, does that make it better, where do you think HP sources this mouse, probably where most products originate, CHINA.

So you are saying that the HP which was manufactured in China is the same with XyZ also manufactured in China. Right.

You appear to be a person who falls for the BRAND NAME trap. It is known as badge engineering and has been common for years. Identical products can be sourced from the same OEM and marketed with various brand names. Regular users of HUKD will know and often comment on probably the best known example, VESTEL. The group manufacture many products, but are best known mainly for TVs. These are branded with various past and present well known British, continental and Japanese manufacturers logos, but are from the same source with variable prices.

Well Branded goods go through a thorough Quality Control and yes they are produced in China.
Unbranded goods have no QC and are produced in China.
Woudl you buy a Merc or an unknown car which looked like a Merc?
