doesnt seem to be working at present, but it'll come good in the next day or so, i hope it includes sale items, i cannot see the T&Cs

Be aware of doing this. If you return in a store you only get a gift card NOT a refund. (these type of cards can't even be used on line). Doing this multiple times will get you a lot of store credit.

I work for h&m. We do need your email receipt as the new invoices in the package don't have the garment price or a bar code we can scan through the till. We also need to check for any discounts that went through on the email and the card you payed with.

I returned some items instore at the weekend and they were refunded to the card I paid with - be aware that the new process means they do need your email receipt for a refund as there is a barcode on it ( found this the hard way as couldn't get internet connection in the store to access my email!)

No they don't need ur e receipt, just returned some stuff yesterday with the despatch note that comes in the parcel.

They changed it probably 12m ago..ive had refunds onto my card maybe 4 or 5 times in last 12m
previous you had to return via free post
The old system would have been in total contravention to "distance selling regs"

You get a refund on your card instore now, if you take items bought online and paid by card, it's changed now for the better IMO

new rules leaflet with my shipment today, if you pay by card online you will get a refund to the card, otherwise as you say refund onto an instore only merchandise card

yeah noticed a new returns address of Stoke on Trent, so presumably they are shipping from the UK,
I've waited 1-2 weeks usually, and upto 4 weeks before now
