My family and I went on this last year and it was FAB!
It's run by the Field Study Council and is all about getting outside as a family and having fun.
We went to the one in Box Hill, Surrey, but there are quite a few spread out over the country all doing different activities.
The price is £25 per person per night and this includes breakfast lunch and dinner as well as 1 activity per day and as much tea and coffee as you can drink!
The rooms are a bit basic but you literally spend no time in them as theres so much outside to explore.
Runs all through the summer holidays.
Genuinely a great trip away and we'll worth the really low price x

Anything that gets kids off their butts is good from me...
We went to butlins at xmas with our friends who happened to have 3 teenage children. By the end of it I was ready to scream. They spent the whole holiday moaning constantly, sat there glued to their phones... Constant whinging saying they just wanted to stay in apartment.....and of course the young kids pick up on this negativity

I think its so important to do outdoorsy things together. This was really lovely. We sang songs and toasted marshmallows by a camp fire, went slow worm hunting, climbed a folly, tasted honey out the bee hives, set humane animal traps to count the types of wildlife we could find plus, moth catching at night, plus lots of arts and crafts things available to do in down time! Proper family time!

Very true, way I see it your children won't remember the endless hours on an iPad but doing things with you as a family

Is there an restriction on children under five does anyone know? Had a look at the site but it isn't jumping out at me! Thank you.

What do you mean restriction? If you are talking about the activities then no I don't think so but I would have thought it depends on the activity. Some locations do rock climbing and water rafting so maybe not those but the one I went to, there were little kids under 5 joining in x

Alcohol is not included in the "all inclusive" price?

You shouldn't be abusing drugs such as alcohol on a family holiday anyway.

"abusing drugs"... alcohol is an essential part of British life!
That's odd. It's £25 pppn regardless of the date. if you select the location, number of people and the dates it gives you a total price x

This is brilliant value , did not realise it was full board at that price!!! ... Was going to go and stay on a farm but this looks great and there is a farm nearby the box hill one , will definitely be booking a weekend here over the summer , hope the weather is good and tbh if it goes well I may book a few nights at least every summer
Do you know where / how we can get any discount codes please? I hate seeing a discount code box and not being able to use it  lol

Honestly it was so lovely when we went last year. We are going again this summer too. Don't know of any discounts though. think that might be for school/student bookings as they are open all year for people to study. Hope you have a great time!!!
