Well done making this all about you. You're simply not intelligent enough to understand i was giving an opinion to possible buyers - NOT you. I'm not saying anyone is stupid for enjoying the show. I am simply stating if you can not see the flaws in the show - then in my opinion you're intelligent enough to notice. How am i meant to know if you notice it or not, therefore proving i wasn't calling anyone stupid.

He was a good character, played the roll well. I could never work out if he was one of the best actors on there, or trying way too hard. I'll just give him credit for acting well and playing the roll well. But i personally prefered the S1 characters. There were more verify. The bad mafia type boss, the other mafia type boss that was good, and the other ones as well. But even with some good characters, alot of the story was very shaky. With S2, not many stand out, or have many distinctive characteristics that draw me into their story. Just not alot of depth for most of the characters, it's like wham bam. It's all in your face without any deeper meaning to it.

Not calling you stupid - to not notice the flaws in the show you need a low IQ. If you don't notice them you probably aren't that intelligent enough to notice them. I'm trying to give advice for possible buyers. There may be people of high intelligence that can not bypass such flaws.

Season 2 has had my favourite characters and moments. One of them being, Jerome which I hope he comes back as he truly nailed The Joker's identity but the actor himself is on Shameless' Season 6 so it might not happen for a while. Needless to say that Penguin and Nygma make an excellent duo as criminal masterminds.

I disagree. *SPOILER* I thought series 1 they killed off alot of good cast members, which contributed to more long-running stories that had a point to them, that series 2 now don't have. Most of series 2 is mostly one story(thus far),which is about a dodgy guy becoming a mayor of the city.

Really? I watched the first couple of episodes and thought it was so cringe and some terrible acting.
Does it get a lot better?

Definitely not a great show. I watch it, but to call it a great show you must have a very low IQ. The writing is really bad. I like the atmosphere of the show, and the scenery. The story is so unbelievable though. It's very forced, it jumps from one thing to another, the acting by some of the cast is poor mainly by ben mckenzie, who is the lead. He is very wooden.
There is some good scenes/episodes, but overall it feels like most of the show is full of empty pointless, poor episodes.
I'll give just a few examples of forced. *Spoiler for S2* when the potential mayor was being shot at, all the journalists stayed as he finished his "inspirational speech". There is no chance that a pack of around 50 journalists including the mayor-to-be would stay in the same place after being shot at. Many many more of this.
It's a shame because everything was setup for the show to be brilliant. It just needed a couple of better actors, and better writers. The rating of this show is 8.0 on IMDB which i feel is correct. Considering some people are real fans of this genre and can biase vote on a show, it shows even they don't see through the shows flaws.
Saying that, i think Series 1 was better then series 2(so far, midway though s2).

Everyone has pretty much answered but I agree with everyone else..starts slow and gets addictive at a growing rate.

Didn't expect much from the series tbh, but glued to it now. It's very, very good imo. Towards the end, it even strays into 'Dexter' territory imo, and finally we have villains in a series that really are villainous. Hot for me. Can't wait for season 2.
