I agree. Estorilblue you sound like the troll more than anyone else. If a deal doesn't apply to you, don't comment. If you are going to comment then a nicer tone would have been along the lines of....'my local is only £5/ticket, so this deal is not that great for me, but might be useful for others. You guys might want to check how much your local odeon is before you buy'.
However the tone that you took was condescending and rude - accusing others of being tight. I'm pleased that others have put you in your place. Just because a deal is not suitable for you, that doesn't give you the right to rubbish it or put people down for trying to save money (that's the point of the site....DUH!) and others might find it really helpful (reflected by the super hot 1600 degrees),
After all that, Thanks op - my local odeon is £12, so this is cheaper than meerkat movies etc. Heat added.

The code works once you realise it is three codes separated by a hyphen as in:
xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx
I bought a ticket for myself and two friends in one transaction by adding each code one after the other, each time it discounts a ticket

Called Groupon, Customer service rep was useless and unhelpful. Told me he had no idea and told me to call Odeon up. He said he could escalate the problem to the relevant team but that would take 10 Days to get a response. So hung up and called Odeon. They told me the vouchers are definitely valid but it seems to be a Refresh problem with the Website. She's advised me to wait 20 Minutes and try again a little later. Will try Firefox and see if that makes a difference.

Hi. The Groupon deal gives you 3 codes (which appear in the top left corner of the voucher). When you book online at Odeon , at the checkout, you choose "Use a Promo Code" and enter your Groupon codes in that field one at a time.

i go to the odeon next to Birmingham broad Street, which used to be amc. when you book your tickets for a movie at the cinema the checkout assistant hands you your receipt and a voucher paper which states the 2 tickets for £8 to be used the month after. the odeon at new street also does the same, even though its a far inferior cinema compared to the one next to broad street, i thought odeon did this in all their cinemas nationwide.

Yes that is correct the 3 codes are split by the - e.g.
xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx
1st code-2nd code-3rd code
so use one for each person/child you intend to take with you or one per film you intend to see. So if you only intend to take just one child for Star Wars then you still have one spare to use b4 11/2/16.
Enjoy it!!!

16 Jan 161#124
Voted hot but have just had a great issue with this.
Purchased through on offer received codes via email.
Put codes in in odeon website had to enter them a couple of times before they were accepted as an error message popped up and the page was failing to load.
I had a booking for 4 people and I used the 3 3 codes for 3 tickets leaving me with 1 ticket to pu for. Entered card details for the 1 ticket and the page was not loading. Waited and waited clicked the "if this page does not redirect you in 10 seconds click link here" and again I kept waiting nothing happened. Waited at least 3 mins before I gave up.
Checked my bank account and no money has been taken but I have tried to use the group on codes again on the website but they no longer work and keep getting "this code is invalid".
I can only think that as they were entered previously by me although the booking was not completed the codes are no longer valid.
A pain in the **** as I have to ring them tommorow and the booking was for tommorow evening so god knows if they are going to be able to sort this out.
You have been warned :disappointed:

Sounds like it's probably sorted by now, but on Friday we went to see Creed and the girl on the desk didn't know about the Groupon. After explaining to her that we bought the Groupon to exchange for tickets at no extra cost she just gave us two tickets without entering the Groupon details anywhere so looks like we got two free tickets on Friday and the 3 on the Groupon should still be available!
EstorilBlue
18 Jan 16#175
Whilst cheaper, I think id prefer to pay the extra £3 you are saving and not be restricted to having to go 3 times in the next month.
Not every deal is about a "good price".
EstorilBlue
18 Jan 16#176
So I commit to 3 tickets I have to use in a month with this deal, or I just pay the extra £3 (£1 per ticket) and I can go whenever I want?
Think before you comment, not everything is a "deal" just because its cheaper.
Unless of course money is that tight that £1 off of a ticket is actually a deal, but then if money was that tight...why go to the cinema?
stephen567
18 Jan 16#177
It's only the smaller/older cinemas that are £5 most Odeon's are circa £10 a ticket.
EstorilBlue
18 Jan 16#179
Ive no issue with that information or the deal, I merely said that I found out my local cinema was only £5 a ticket anyway (which was news to me) hence I didn't go for the deal. A few users then took it upon themselves to make silly remarks to address my comment, and I have responded to those users in a simplistic language that I hope they will understand.
Deals aren't for everyone, and some other users need to appreciate that.
This website is becoming a haven for the troll.
Gavin01
18 Jan 16#180
my local odeon is normally £10 plus examply creed atm is £10 per ticket but use these and ive saved £18 so a bargain really!
adzay
18 Jan 16#181
Lol it's not that deep. No need for the comment to make people feel sorry for you. The deal doesn't apply to you, fine. But there was no need to imply that people who like this deal are tight. Your cheap Odeon tickets show you probably live in a cheap secluded area. Not everyone has that luxury.
Coffee100
18 Jan 165#182
Heat added.

Just bought this and the code in the voucher isn't being accepted on the Odeon website. Trying to book an 8.30pm showing of The Revenant on 21.01.16 in Maidstone, Kent.
If I use the Groupon Code i get the following error;
"This voucher is not valid for this show and/or your seat+ticket selection.
Error Code: V-AWV-20 C-817

If I use the REF code I get the following error;

Just be warned that the collection machines don't work with vouchers at Greenwich (not sure about other Odeons). Therefore you'll need to collect them from the counter - I did this on Saturday night and it took 20 minutes to get through the queue since there was only one person attending to it. Make sure to plan ahead. I'm just thankful the trailers & ads preceding my movie ran for almost 25 minutes.

The Greenwich one definitely didn't have this feature. There was only "book new tickets" or "collect pre-booked tickets". Additionally, as soon as I reached the front of the queue, I inquired as to whether there was another way to obtain the tickets rather than queuing. Needless to say, the guy manning the counter couldn't wait to interrupt me with a resounding "nope!".

How convenient!
It says :

There isn`t any "How to get it" instructions in the fine print.
Groupon Code: XXXXXXXXX - XXXXXXXXX - XXXXXXXXX
1st Code - 2nd Code - 3rd Code
Cheers for clearing that up mate.
I've entered the code and I keep getting error messages - I entered it either as XXXXX or XXXXX-XXXXX and XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, none of them work.
I did notice on the voucher pdf - at the top it says Groupon Code and there are 3 codes - each a 9 digit mix of letters and numbers.
I'm guessing those could be the odeon codes. You could try entering one of them on the odeon website.
If that doesn't work I'm stumped.
Been holding out to go watch Star Wars there and would be a steal at this price.

3. The ticket code can be redeemed at the cinema box office, online atODEON.co.uk, the ODEON Mobile site or ODEON Apps.

way to go folks
"Thank you for your email.

Tried but still not working though! :disappointed:
Two of mine just got accepted for the revenant tonight
This really isn't that type of site rignaj.
12 emails later had to raise dispute via PayPal . They failed to acknowledge any PayPal communication and told me they would only refund when I closed my PayPal dispute .
Liaised with PayPal who said don't close the dispute . Appalling PayPal have refunded one set just waiting for the others to be refunded .
Buyer beware !!!!
Hope that helps.
Looks like I'll be watching Deadpool on either the 10th or 11th of Feb, probs 10th just to be on the safe side.
Then two out of these I guess:
The Revenant
Creed
Room
Ip Man 3
EDIT: Room looks good, now to decide from The Revenant, Creed or Ip Man 3.
EDIT2: The 5th wave doesn't look too bad too.
"We are sorry there appears to be a problem with your booking.
Please wait a couple of minutes and try again. If the problem persists then please call Guest Services on 0333 006 7777 for assistance. "
Never used a groupon before, how do I use it? click voucher, which code am I using and do you just use it 3 times then?
But then virgin media probably censor Groupon emails %p
When it says box office does that mean the bit where u pay to see a movie in the odeon?
So can I just display my phone when I go to the cinema or is it better to book a ticket online?
Security Code, Groupon Code and Ref.
None of them work on the Odeon site and there is no barcode to present at the box office.
Is it broken?
Anyone confirm this is correct?
The Groupon code is the three codes on one line separated by dashes. Copied one of those and it worked.
TCB too AND i just won 25p on their new hummingbird hunt thing!
xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx
1st code-2nd code-3rd code
so use one for each person/child you intend to take with you or one per film you intend to see. So if you only intend to take just one child for Star Wars then you still have one spare to use b4 11/2/16.
Enjoy it!!!
Some of the comments have indicated there have been some problem with the codes..... best you email them.
Nice to get a deal like this, usually £12 will get you one ticket...
Thanks
Just one comment: Just checked my local Odeon and you know you are download too much when there is only x2 movies that you haven't seen currently showing.

Not every deal is about a "good price".
Think before you comment, not everything is a "deal" just because its cheaper.
Unless of course money is that tight that £1 off of a ticket is actually a deal, but then if money was that tight...why go to the cinema?
