Well I am seriously miffed, ordered on the 31st december, heard nothing by the 11th of january, finally chased them up and got told they had oversold.
Well it seems that they processed Paypal orders, but I paid by credit card, have they processed Paypal orders taken after my order?

Will not use them again, that website is a disaster.

Check your order if it hasn't arrived. They claim they had a lot of orders and not enough stock because of the holiday period.

I think their website needs work. As far as I can tell, their order system (if you pay via card) just gives them your details which they can charge when someone manually processes the order.

They also don't seem to have any despatch or order processing email system in place.


To be fair, when I did email them they respond fairly quickly and managed to find me a keyboard (which I'm very happy with) but would be slightly wary of using them again. At the very least, I'll be using PayPal!

Reading the posts it seems like you have more chance of getting this if you paid using PayPal, disgraceful service definitely one to avoid.

Ordered mine on the 2nd for deliver on the 8th.
Had no contact from them at all. Spoke to someone today that said they are waiting for delivery or alternative keyboard.
Very unhappy didn't think this could happen in retail on-line.

Mine arrived today. I can't really fault eclipse but their systems could be much better for allowing people to know the status of their orders.

Recieved my refund via paypal. Not mad as I had a feeling that they wouldn't have enough to fulfil the orders.

I'll probably get a gigabyte osmium if they go cheap again.

Just telephoned them, they took the money but said they'd emailed me to say out of stock (but that is BS), and will process a refund now.

If you have not received your keyboard yet you will need to phone these jokers to get your refund.

Eclipse Computers is now buyer beware for me.......

Think it's clear that those who haven't received keyboards by now will be getting a refund as stock ran out.

Wouldn't mind but there was no communication at all prior to the initial order so I doubt I will be dealing with them again once I get my money back.

Received mine, looks like I have a dodgy 'c' key as it requires multiple presses sometimes to register :disappointed: Oh well, seemed great apart from that.

Just received an email from PayPal with money refunded... No email or anything from eclipse computers as to why... Guess they had no stock left when I ordered. But at least communicate that to me..

Has anyone who ordered by card on Thursday had one delivered? I ordered late Thursday afternoon and haven't had a dispatch (or cancellation) email yet.

I recieved mine today and oh my word is it pleasure! I haven't used a mechnical keyboard since the days of IBM Model M (still available though very expensive). Funny enough I typing is improved. Reallly chuffed with this little bad boy, thanks to the OP.

Got mine.. Really nice keyboard.. Well worth it.. Much better than my corsair k30 which is junk. I like the fact it quite low key don't look like something out if a 10 year old bedroom

Figured this out after realising i'd had no dispatch or anything other than an "order request" email and saw the money had gone out

Mine arrived today also and am typing on it as we sp...er, type! Quite surprised that some of you guys who ordered on Thursday have been told your order wasn't successfull considering I ordered on Friday.

Edit: One thing to note is that when I opened the box I found that the space bar and 0 key in the num pad were hanging off, like half clipped on. Pushing the keys down managed to sort this out but how this is possible for a supposedly un-opened package is odd to say the least. Everything was sealed though and the board itself looks immaculate so I don't doubt its new-ness.

Same here got an e-mail notification from PayPal yesterday. Actually selected the cheap £3 3-5 day delivery option so was really pleased they sent it ParcelForce 24.

I'm using it now, great value for £34, love the illumination which actually helps me type more accurately(I thought illumination was just a gimmick before). Maybe the only thing against it is I think the bottom row is non-standard so replacing all the key caps with third party designs might be a problem.

I sent them an email today, got told they have a back log from new year and it would be posted today for delivery tomorrow.

I ordered on Thursday and paid by card.
I spoke to them via email yesterday and they told me that they keyboards were due to be despatched that same day, I haven't received any emails since then.

I paid by paypal last Thursday and i'm yet to receive a dispatch email, cancellation email or keyboard so...

So basically if you paid by PayPal you're getting priority over people who paid using card. Awful service.

It has just arrived and I have installed it. First impressions are good. I love the weight of the keyboard, seems very sturdy and well built. I have reduced the backlit setting by one. The keystroke and travel is very positive and "uniform" with no particular click but a sound as it "bottoms" at the end of a key press, if that makes sense. The spacing is good and overall the only thing that I might regret is not getting two...!

When did you order? I ordered mine Thursday and have not had any dispatch notification.

I am unfamiliar with Eclipse Computers so can anyone tell me if you receive a dispatch email or not? As i bought the keyboard on Friday and have yet to receive anything other than a payment confirmation.

I emailed them today:

called them this morning all stock gone unlikely to be getting anymore in as they are being rebranded, that's what he said. will be trying to get more stock from supplier next week, keep and eye on their website, but doubts it.

Been in the market for a keyboard for a while now. Not used these MX keys before so will be interesting to see how I find the reds. From what i've seen I think browns would be more up my street but who knows. Worst case scenario is i'll just use this one exclusively for gaming and get a blue/brown further down the line for typing. In either case, < £40 is a steal!

You are not going to find a backlit MX red keyboard for anywhere near this price, cheapest is probably going to be at least twice this price. I bought one as a backup, who knows I may like it enough to replace my current one.

Wow, what a difference £5 makes, this was posted a month ago and hardly got any heat. For those unsure about Eclipse all I can say is I had great service from them. Ordered on 29th Dec and arrived on 31st. Still over 150 in stock. Lovely keyboard at a lovely price (for a mechanical). If you fancy trying one this is by far the best deal around at the moment, especially with the nice backlighting thrown in as well. :sunglasses:

Not sure about the layout and the numpad, but at this price this is defo a good introduction to Red Cherry switches.

not only is this silly cheap for a cherry mx kb. its silly cheap for backlit cherry mx which usually go for no less than £80
I bought one as a backup kb for lans etc if my k90 breaks

the only thing bad about this kb is the clips for the wrist rest which are flimsy and can snap. i had to drill and screw my sons rest and clips to eachother and re clip them as the clip snapped

NI gets screwed on a lot of these tech deals. Free UK shipping really means Free shipping in mainland Britain. The cost of delivery on so many of these deals knocks the price back up to what everyone else was paying and Amazon ends up being the best choice.

I can see them on eBay for less than a couple of quid, albeit it from HK or China and thus a long delivery.

got this, for typing i have made more errors as it is very squishy if you have been using normal keyboards for the entirety of your life, however for gaming it's really, the only negative from me is that it can be REALLY dusty and dust stuck between the keys is a pain

Damn good price.

Fantastic price for a full size keyboard with Cherry MX branded switches. Eclipse don't have the best reputation online but they've been around for years. Fnatic have now bought the Func brand and say they will continue to provide support, although it's a keyboard so I doubt that's a big issue anyway.

If anyone is tempted to make the jump to a mechanical keyboard I doubt you'll find a better deal than this. Don't be put off by the marketing that red switches are for gaming and not typing. I'm typing this on reds and they are really comfortable.

The only marginally bad thing about the keyboard is the lack of rubber pads on the bottom of the keyboard. other than that it is a fantastic deal. I picked one up on monday and was delivered today. Its probably this cheap since Func was bought out so its likely that it is the last of the remaining stock.
