No doubt dredged scallops so while you enjoy them think of the non-repairable damage to the seabed and marine life. Pay more, get fresh HAND DIVED scallops.

are these bulked with sodium tripoly phosphate?

Tried these but couldnt get them to brown in the frying pan- they were saturated with water. The result was tasteless slightly fishy and very disappointing. Fresh is the only way.

I found it was perfectly fine comment and quite helpful as a review of the product.
Good scallops shouldn't taste "fishy", contrary to your belief it seems =p

good find, I managed to get 4 of the frozen crabs at £1.99 last week.

I tend to think "fishy" is something like kipper, salmon or mackerel. Scallops are at the other end of the scale with white meat fish or crab meat, etc... when those start to taste 'fishy' it means they are likely off...
