This is possibly one of the best ones they've done, nothing there you wouldn't use. No vegetable fingers or random side, definitely will be picking this up.

For me the pizza one was still the best. But still seams a good deal as the fish and ice cream in tescos is £6 !

I actually loved those vegetable fingers, found them far nicer than the fish fingers, I prefer the deals like that that has something I may not ordinarily but. Not like that this one has two desserts if I'm honest, I'll probably skip it.

quite right, for the biggest supermarket chain in the country should have the greatest buying power but all you get is corner shop prices.they need to take a good look at their buying team.

18 Jan 16#14
In my local co-op they often stick the staff details copy on the freezer for some reason and it lists contingency replacements for each. I thought I'd try swapping something to see what happens. So I got top-o-the-line Birds Eye peas instead of Co-op 'peas'. It scanned first time, no staff override.
Swings and roundabouts mind, because instead of veggie fingers (which I like but they had none) I got Linda McCartney veggie sausages and they were awful!

Top tip...... grab a bottle of co-op Spanish red to wash the meal deal down at £3.59, much smoother and tasty than all the £5-£6 bottles in the big supermarkets.

18 Jan 161#27
They are not a supermarket chain. Just a group of areas that come under the banner of the name of Cooperative Group.
If they are the biggest chain why are they the most expensive one out there even more expensive than Waitrose.

Never a full house in the freezer when I look in my coop, and can't be bothered asking what can substitute it
horsepills to johnraggett
18 Jan 161#34
At least yours will let you substitute it. In my local co-op they often have one item out of stock, and point blank refuse to substitute it - despite me telling the store manager that other branches do this. They'd rather leave the shelf full of the other items - unsaleable - until they get stock in (I can only assume this is because they are ABSOLUTE IDIOTS).

due to the different size stores they operate out of, it cost more to run. You have smaller loads being deliveried in smaller lorries etc lots of inefficiencies.

Super offer, great value. However, this cod fish is not at all what is used to be. A couple of years back this was lovely whole fillets (and it came in plastic packaging inside the box. Today it's "formed" pieces of cod fillet, and minus the bag. No comparison in taste, texture or presentation.

Yes, it tastes awful. I would still buy it, as it is only my opinion, and my Son and Husband like it. The oven chips are the best I've ever had shop bought if these are the ones they usually have in these offers.

sorry co op is second. Tesco 6814 stores co op 4039 stores. of the rest only sainsburys have just over 1000 stores with the rest in the mid 500`s. I didn't say they had the biggest revenue, not so silly now ok
