Compared to the co-op fiver deals in the past it's a half hearted attempt by Tesco.

What gave you the impression that everyone else cares about what you eat?
This is a deal website not a healthy living website. If you don't like the food in this offer then fair enough but if it's the cheapest deal for this combination of products then your personal preference on food alone isn't a very good reason to vote something down.
Not a lot left in Coventry yesterday but you could have any 4 items for a fiver - pizzas are marked up at £3.90 each and 4 of them scanned through for a fiver

Went to Tesco tonight at 10 pm and I got pizza ,wedges , onion rings and ice cream and it came to £10-50 , took them 20 mins to sort it out with another staff member going to check the offer cos they said it was 1 side order ,came back and said it should be £5 and I did get the right deal with 2 sides but couldn't figure out how to get the price down , 10 mins after still trying to figure out how to lower the price to £5 the Security guy came over to check to see what was wrong and then a staff member that was going home needed to help the girl behind the till by void everything then inputting the pizza at £2 then other 3 items at £1 each to bring the price to £5 , why cant they sort the offers out so we don't have this issue, by the time I got home I didn't bother with the pizza . :disappointed:

So you've admitted it's cheap for what it is (implying you think it's a good deal for what it is - personal preference is irelevant), yet you voted cold. I'm left scratching my head.

It is cheap for what it is. Cheap food. I don't really care what other people eat.
If people want to eat this stuff that's their choice.

9 Jan 16#45
I haven't tried it so unsure, I was just going off Morrison's site.
kneale81
9 Jan 16#43
So you can get 89p x 2 and £1.68 = £3.46 back if you buy a main and two veg and ice cream, so meal deal works out at £1.54!
kneale81
9 Jan 16#42
Don't buy the wedges, they're more expensive in Morrisons. The Birds Eye veg are £1 in Morrisons compared to £1.89 in Tesco, so you'll get 89p back.

Glitch works for me, I bought a few days ago:
Pizza £4
2 xChips £1.75 = £3.50
Carte Dor £3
and it took an extra £1.77 off at the till because it compares to Morrisons, where the ice-cream is £1.32, 2 x chips are £3.48 and pizza £3.93

There's also a glitch going on with this deal ! I got 2 meals for £3 all together. tesco are brand matching before taking the deal off ! be sure to get 10 individual brands so the brand guarantee works

Apparently there's a glitch with this deal and the brand match guarantee. Buy two bags of the steam veg, pizza or chicken and the ice cream and its taking off an extra £3. Has anyone had this yet. Obv you have to buy ten items for it to work

Really good deal, I was in store and purchased two of these today.
Apart from my local Co-Op never has any stock, Tesco's always do.

Well advertising helps increase market share. It doesn't significantly increase market size unless it's for a brand new product. For example, if I see an advert for toilet paper, I'm not going to go buy extra.
I might have misunderstood your comment though.

That's my personal view. Wouldn't touch this processed muck.

there is no law making you buy this and fruit and veg can be bought cheap enough, so buy that instead then.

There used to be a farmer where I lived who was still actively tending to his sheep etc up until the week he died at the age of 98.
He ate nothing but bacon sarnies with the fat left on and drank nothing but beer. Didn't seem to do him any harm. There are also plenty of stories about health freaks that have died young from heart disease and various other ailments normally associated with unhealthy eating.
This stuff might be processed but compared to what some people have to eat it's literally bursting with nutrition. There's much worse food out there and not always processed either.
Like most things in life there's a lot of money to be made from appealing to people's cynicism and naivety, a lot of people make good money out of extolling the evils of this food or that food.
There are people out there that eat nothing but chocolate and have been declared perfectly healthy medically.
I'm not saying this is the most healthy food going by any means but you could eat nothing but posh organic food from the farmers market and eat yourself to death and live a long healthy life eating mostly processed food. You get diabetes by consuning more calories than you burn off and becoming obese, I know vegetarians and vegans that are obese and I know slim and active people that eat supermarket fare. A lack of moderation and an inactive lifestyle is what costs the NHS.
