We quickly realised what a rip off the capsules are from their site plus usually having to pay postage. Used our free credit up last Jan from the offer, used all the capsules up then sold our machine on ebay and bought a brand new dulce gusto machine with the ebay funds. The dulce gusto regularly run promos fir £20 free credit , the coffee tastes as good but capsules half the price and you can just pop into a local supermarket to get them.

Would that be Nescafe Dolce Gusto by any chance...?
So the same company makes both products and you claim that they regularly give one away?
I think that says all I need to know about the "supposed" quality on offer...

If you read the T&C's it states
Your first £25/£15 credit will be applied to your Nespresso Club account upon validation of your application. Your two additional £25/£15 credits are applied to your account within 10 days when you place subsequent orders.

My friend uses Aldi's capsules in her machine. She said they're lovely. Just a tip!

Aldi used to sell capsules but the discontinued them quite a few months ago, shame as they were really nice. Lidl still do some and they are nice.

Yeah I get compatibles from both Asda & Sainsburys. The Dualit ones from Sainsburys are my favourite & are regularly on offer at £2 for 10.

I second this - I bought the Dualit Lungo one today, having tried the Lidl espresso and Lungo ones. (along with the nespresso starter pack ) The 'crema' is really frothy you get a lot more and the coffee tastes pretty good. I got ours from morrisons - it looks like they just started stocking a load of different capsules - Dolce Gusto had most shelf space and Nespresso compatibles by Taylors, Dualit and one more I think, had a teeny bit of shelf space.

1.69p for 10 in lidl. I find filling the capsules up with a quality brand and covering with thin tesco smartprice aluminium foil tastes better than even nespresso. Needs to be thin foil. About 5p each capsule this way (with lidls own brand belleroma )

Bean to cup is the way forward. Initial outlay can be high, although there have been some good offers on here, but cost per cup is lower. I had nespresso for many years and loved it, but my bean to cup makes better coffee.

Thanks. I buy the LIDL capsules which are 10 for 69p, but they don't do decaff, and caffeine and I aren't exactly the best pairing.
For anybody complaining about the prices, remember your complaint of 30p-40p per pod the next time you're paying £3 in Starbucks for a coffee which doesn't even taste better than this machine produces.

Think you mean 1.69 not 69p!
Have to say i personally dont think they compare to nespresso but its down to personsl taste

Personally for a Latte or Cappuccino I'd go for one from the Intenso range because you're diluting the taste of the coffee with the milk you're adding so a strong flavour is needed.

I love any between 8/10 strength for lattes as the milk frothing machine u can put more or less mill in to what u like.. If u like sweet coffee like my hubby go for the vanilla choc caramel ones.

Yes, FineCoffeeClub pods are nespresso compatible. Intense and house blend works better with my inissia, the others take too long to take the coffee, looks like water doesn't "flow" very well through the pod.

Yes, you do have a point as the Dulce Gusto machine and pods are made by Nescafe. The one benefit is if you like their pod coffee, why pay double the price and the inconvenience of having to order the Nespresso pods only online when you pop into your local supermarket and get them half of the price, us HUKD people are not very bright are we?

The thing that I prefer about the Nespresso compared to other pod machines is that of the recycling I.e. You can recycle them. Many others, you can't. And the taste is far better.
matty9815
30 Dec 151#54
It does the majority of its cleaning automatically. I do clean it myself, but no more than I did my Nespresso machine. Any coffee machine needs regular cleaning and descaling otherwise they stop working properly, and the coffee tastes bad.

Hi Guys,
I had the £75 credit which I used once (£25). Then on the last day 31st Dec 2015 I tried to place an order and was able to use one £25 credit but then the last £25 was not added to my account on that day and so I have lost it.
Does anyone know if anything can be done?

So you have used the first £25 credit then used the second £25 credit. The 3rd and final credit is added a few days later (normally 2 or 3 days but Nespresso say within 10 days). It won't show on your account the same day.....
Have you checked your account ? Does it not show the 3rd £25 now ? Maybe customer services did not understand - try them again.......

They do come around every now and again but they do seem pretty random. I would say if you can hold off i.e. you've already got a good supply of capsules then hold off for a month or two.

Just so you know I've noticed they're currently doing free delivery on orders of over 100 capsules, if that helps.
