The title explains most of it lots of dates for just over £300, stop over is in shanghai, only downside is at least one of the journeys will have a 20 hour stop over in Shanghai but the other one I saw is only 2 hours! You might be able to sneak out and visit shanghai as they have a free 72 hour transit visa now!
Edit: if link doesn't work please put in from London to Tokyo.
Dates: cheapest month
Adults: 1 (or whatever you want)
Choose the prices around 150 or so between Feb and March and then omega flight store has the £300 flights!

So, stay in your county forever. In fact, don't leave the house ever. You're gonna lived once in your lifetime anyway & won't know feck all what other interesting sites & cultures are out there. So narrow minded.
Been once, loved it & would like to go again. So much to see, so little time. Japan still a big country compare to UK. Very safe city & it's one of the cleanest cities. Quite zero litter on the streets. Everything is nicely kept & so tidy. Now compare that to central London, what a poophole as some folks don't have any respect & morals for their own city.

Yep I got that too! It was from Budapest and with Turkish Airlines but great flights and a stop in Istanbul. October for me to see autumn leaves change. Got two weeks in Japan.... Just need to finish this holiday first as I'm sat in the airport lounge at Sao Paulo after being away for almost 3 weeks.... Back to reality :-(
Good deal I guess if you don't mind China Eastern and you are wanting to fly from LHR.

So you can avoid them some more or experience them?
June 2008 was a proper one and it woke me up - it stopped the Shinkansen and made the BBC website news. That same trip there was the stabbing spree in Akihabara that made the news too. The second time was in 2013 - I felt quite a few tremors while sitting at me desk writing emails - it's weird to watch your jacket swaying on the coat hook on the wall and hear the building creak. If you were walking around you might not feel them. A change of plans meant I missed the 2011 big one.

In future can you let me know where you are going, I've been to many a country that experience quakes (some claimed up to 20 a day) & the only one quake I've felt was in the UK.

I agree but beware of fake guys dressing up as monks, especially in akibahara. He got 2000 yen out of me giving me this stupid charm and a bracelet!! I was so excited and thought Japan was the safest happiest place in the world so I was thrown totally of guard. Also bare in mind if you go shopping in the downtown area near roppongi hills and kabukicho under the train tracks.. Watch out for touts, trying to get you into clubs! They have no limits, they were grabbing me and trying there best to persuade me in (but generally will leave you alone once you make it clear you ain't going anwaywhere) these both happened in pure daylight. Its probably rare and it has no way stopped from going back but just something to think about.. These scams are quite common globally though.. What I will say though is day to day Tokyo is the safest I have ever felt in a city, streets are.spotless trains are quiet and courteous I was out on my own in the largest city in the world numerous times and felt no threat or nervousness at all, 99% of people are friendly helpful and tbh just mind their own business.

i go to japan twice a year for the last 12 years or so, i have only experienced 1 tremor in japan they build with earthquakes in mind due to this pretty safe place but i guess if your that worried you might as well never leave your house as you could be involved in a car crash or anything else japan has to be one of the safest place to visit and you dont have to worry about getting scammed so different to anywhere else i have visited
price for this flight looks good but must admit i am not a fan of 20 hours stopover in shanghai would rather go via hkg if breaking my trip i spent 580 with austria air/ana flight left 19th dec and back on the 6th jan as a comparison but my flight inclued return internal flights and got two check bags of 23 kg each with the exchange rate japan is great for shopping if you cant find it in tokyo doubt you will find it anywhere

Yes, they do. I've been twice and felt tremors both times and experienced a small earthquake once. I've also felt tremors in California. It's just part of the experience really. And I'd go back to, or even live in, Japan in a heartbeat.

went last year with alitalia for about this price. Such an amazing country, will be going again some time. Have a great time if you go. 20 hour stop over seems horrible though, we did 5 hour stopover in rome and that was bad enough

I did that too, best thing I ever done, alitalia flights were meh because I lost a lot of leg room with the entertainment box! But for the flight price and feeling when I landed again.. If alitalia were that cheap I'd do it again!

I struggle to see how I am a Muppet for telling him to click the link, while some people might, I do not have the time to scour out every date.. I gave months it will work, a screenshot and a link... Sky scanner can do this rest. So yes please call me a Muppet for noting on someone's laziness.

Not the best by any means, but from the online info does not seem much worse than most others average airlines :
They seem to have lots of (mysteriously unreported) fatal accidents in China...

The cherry blossom in Japan in late March and early April is a sight to behold - but also peak season for visitors at that time so if you want to go get booking those hotel rooms as soon as you have booked the flights...

Tokyo is an amazing city and can be done fairly cheaply if you don't mind small hotel rooms. And 20 hours in Shanghai could be a nice taster.
