Nothing tremendously exciting although there are two (!) vegetarian options this time. The desserts seems a limited choice though.

Hit hot then flicked down and saw the dessert selection. Hmm.... not as good as usual and I feel they could make a better effort for vegetarians but still a good deal if you make the right choices. Thanks for posting.

I still find it very good. My local M&S reduces a lot of their food to silly prices each evening. Yesterday we filled a trolley for about £20. They also had about 300 boxes of mince pies expiring today for 30p each. Our freezer is packed. Check your local as they may do the same.

definately are. And some of the nicer stuff they've stopped doing. They used to do this amazing seafood tray bake.... no more unfortunately

Last time they did them on the £10 deal I went in a few days after it had finished and they had reduced lots of them (they were in the gastro range isle). They were down to £2 something a pack so I bought loads, it was a chicken & leek individual pie (x2) with a mustard and cheesy type sauce, finished the last one recently so if they are the same on I'll be stocking up again too! Let me know what you think when you've tried one
smallandsweet
12 Jan 16#17
Oh. The sauce description has put me off slightly. When's best day/time to get reduced stuff in M&S then? I only ever see bakery reductions at end of evening.
chedixon
12 Jan 161#18
I go on a Friday afternoon normally for a few bits and bobs but regularly see stuff reduced in the ready meals section. Its an out of town M&S food store (Netherfield, Nottingham) but I would think most of the same stores on retail parks may do the same.
They are pretty rich tasting although not cheesy if that makes any sense. I'm trying to shift a few Christmas gained pounds at the moment and I'm starving now!

Son works in one of the out of town foodstores. Every day they throw out good stuff that people have picked up, changed their minds and lazy so and sos just dump it elsewhere. If it's chilled or frozen stuff left in the wrong environment it gets thrown as they won't take any risks. Criminal!

Not aware of restaurants - just coffee shops in larger ones.

By dine in M&S mean you can buy food in their foodshop and heat up/cook to eat at home instead of going out to a resturant, thereby saving you money and increasing their footfall.

I have also been trying to find which stores this is and cant find a location checker on the website, and wonder if this applies to any of the London stores.

What's the most anyone has bought in one go? My record is 6 and that was a bit embarrassing but I got £130 of food for £60! I wonder what the limit would be- they can't be making much profit!!
thomasleep to Dougaldog
13 Jan 16#39
they made a pre tax profit last year of £661.2m up 6.1% so I don't think your £130 or £60 really matters that much in the great scheme of things, by the way do you have a massive family just wondering why you would need enough to feed 12?

Aside from that behaviour, anyone else noticing the 'deliberate' placing of items where they shouldn't be? I watched in one store as some yobs (only description appropriate) were giggling filling a basket, then taking a item (say a pkt of grapes) then placing them among the toy section, lots of this. I mentioned it to a member of staff and they said it goes on all the time. I can believe it, shopping at lots of different stores (only way to get the bargains!) and it's now a daily occurrence. Was in Aldi this morning, basket of good (inc frozen) just left on floor. And a jar of jam shoved in among the weekly veg offers. These dicks need a dose of something. Sadly, today, even if caught the most they'll get is 'please don't do that'.
