Seems like if any new games in a series are too similar to previous ones, people call it a rehash, but if it's too different, they complain about it not being the same :smirk:

I think that may just be because of uplay. Whenever I launch Far Cry 3, I have to fiddle around with the uplay UI, but once the actual game starts up, using a controller is completely fine.

Yes I have lost a lot of faith in ff7 as the developers are messing about with the game. All they had to do was just give it a graphic overhaul and maybe add some new enemies and locations and then it would have been a licensee to print money.
Anyway I wouldn't pre order this game as there PC optimisation is poor on PC

i liked 12, hated 13 and not holding my breath for 15. re ff7, looking at the trailer, it seems to me it will play just like 15 wrapped in an ff7 skin :/ oh well pc release of ff9 will be nice

But the new final fantasy games are poo and have been poo from 11 onwards.
Let's hope they don't mess up final fantasy 7 as I loved that as a kid

Exactly. You could be reductionist and say almost any game in a franchise is "basically the same" as other titles. If the game is good who cares?! Don't need to reinvent the wheel for the sake of it, look a square, turning final fantasy into some kingdom hearts/devil may cry mashup.
