We just received ours before the weekend and the kids absolutely love them! Good, solid quality guaranteeing a couple of evenings of fun making them. They look stunning when finished -- we got a trolleybus, vintage car, London Bridge and Eiffel Tower -- priced between £2.17 and £3.05 inc. delivery. Cheap as chips and only took a week to arrive.
BTW--no glue or screws - all is done by bending the metal parts and securing them onto each other.
Cheap Chinese copy of "metal earth kits" the Pisa tower is completely lop sided.

Heat added. I have ordered the Titanic model for my son to support (coincidentally) his current school project. This looks to be a really good product for only $4.59 (it was convenient to pay in USD), and as I often note with Chinese firms, I have no idea how they cover the cost of the mail for the little they charge. My son and I will look forward to putting together the Titanic for his research topic in a few weeks time.

Spot on. And since our 'Lego' shopping presents such risk, it's a good thing that we don't allow tax heavens, that mega corporations like Apple, Google, Facebook, etc., are contributing to our economy by paying their taxes in full and that our bankers never took billions out of that economy:)

Because it's subsidised by organisations like the Royal Mail, Ofcom.
All of the UN countries are members of the Universal Postal Union. It's purpose is to allow anyone within these UN states to have the ability to send letters etc to anybody else in the world.
The poorer countries postal services are subsidised by the countries with better economies.
Since shopping became popular online though this system is kind of not operating as originally intended, because a company in China can ship products in to the UK for example at a much better rate than a company within the actual UK.
It looks great on these kind of deals, but the more people purchase from these kind of company's, the more Royal Mail have to spend in subsidies and the more money is taken out of our economy.
But enjoy the knock off Lego I guess if it saves people a few quid.

Be VERY wary of Gearbest! I saw a great phone offer on this website 11 days ago, bought it through gearbest. Not even 18 hours after it was paid for I got an email from them saying they had sold far more than they had available stock and there will be a 30 day wait (Plus 7 days Chinese spring holiday) before they are sent.
I am not worried because I used Paypal but they will take your money even if they have no stock to sell.

You should have great fun building these together, tip get some precision side cutters, needle nose pliers, tweezers, and some drills or dowels to help form cylinders, watch a couple of tutorials online, if some pieces break don't give up, you can glue them or push a blob of blue tack behind to keep it in shape.

try googling Gearbest complaints, or have a look on here, They are just an organized scam outfit!
1)pray that your order gets delivered
2)pray that your order is not damaged
3)oh and give up trying to return stuff to china at your own expense
4)don't think they have quite grasped customer service
and don't believe the crap about the EU warehouse,I've ordered a phone from EU warehouse and they shipped from China and then I've had to pay import duty and VAT and all for a damaged phone, yay
I know this sounds overtly negative but I don't want anybody else to go through the crap I've had to with them , I'm still awaiting a refund!!

Wow, sorry to hear that -- but good to have a cautionary tale here. I've been ordering from GearBest only for the past couple of months and must say I had no problems whatsoever getting both gadgets and toys -- had my £55 phone EU -delivered and it incurred no tax, yet it arrived within few days. Obviously, there is a risk if an item needs to be sent back and dealing with Chinese online retailers is never going to be easy. I also tried BangGood and they too seemed OK. Be good to hear more hands-on experiences with these kind of shops.

DARKSABER to omneity1
19 Jan 162#42
Many EU countries have stepped in to help their steel industries while our Government dithers about what to do.
The problems caused by high energy bills, a global glut in production and cut-price Chinese imports are not unique to Britain.
Yet our government is almost alone in doing the bare minimum to support our plants and in the future we will end up paying for it.We are also the only country in Europe to insist on a “carbon price floor” – a top-up tax brought in to encourage firms to switch to greener fuels.
And our support for energy-reliant businesses hit by an EU-wide deal on carbon emissions has been pathetic. Georgey boy Osborne has set aside just £500 million a year to help British heavy energy users such as steel, and Germany has set aside £3.67billion.
In 2014 Britain was paying 9p per kilowatt hour for electricity , compared with 4.12p in France and 4.81p in Germany and manufacturing steel uses up a hell of a lot of it.So in fact the greedy UK energy producers have had a large hand to play in making British steel noncompetitive to begin with .
Strict EU rules bar governments from using state aid to prop up firms ,BUT as always the other EU countries have either turned a blind eye to the regulations or found ways to get round it as they have always done since the EEC was formed (better known as the gravy train by plenty of Europeans ) Does any one remember the butter, milk and other food mountains the EEC where creating and we where subsidizing ??
As always our government uses the same old approach of to little to late and will no doubt say it did all it could once the British steel industry breaths its last breath

I bought the metal earth ones, have big ben, tower bridge and the x-wing. I have built big ben, the easiest one, and it is a nightmare. I'm 40 years old, was sober at the time, sat at a desk with a table lamp, miniture longnose and snubnose plier, took my time (about two hours) and failed. I would consider myself above average at metal work and diy but snapped off part that one of the clock sits on and the top does not sit on very well. Be warned these arenot easy to build.
