Why do people feel it necessary to post this kind of thing - why tell us - we don't care.
Great post OP, for someone looking out for this kind of thing it is a superb price.

i like that these are down around this price range now. certainly gives everyone a good reason to give smart watches a go if they don't want to pay through the nose for an apple watch

battery life is much better on the pebbles.
they also work on both android and ios which the sony wouldnt.
software support is better on the pebble as well, this has just got the pebble time OS which keeps it up to date with the newer version.
with all smart watches i have to say you can live without them (i find i could give or take my pebble time but of course couldnt do without my phone), but they are handy additions to using a smartphone.

Got one with the last pc world deal at £44 while thinking these were more gadget than useful. However, I'm finding apps such weather updates, egg timer etc, actually more suited to the watch than my phone. Then theres work and driving, both areas where access to my phone is tricky, this is where the watch becomes very useful - so definitely worth buying!

Using a phone whilst driving is illegal and has been shown to be worse than drink driving, whether you are doing it through a phone or a watch. Don't do it.

Got this for Christmas, One of the many reasons I love is that I haven't needed to charge it since Friday and I still have 40% battery left, Okay it's not fancy smancy but I wanted one for basic notifications and Media controls, Well worth it at this price.

Just started using the Pebble Steel watch. I usually wear headphones and love the way I can play, pause, skip tracks and change audio levels in my iPhone in both music and podcasts! If you have headphones with a mic, you can see who is calling you on the watch and accept or reject the call.

My wife bought me one of these for Christmas and I'm really pleased with it. I don't think anyone's mentioned it here yet, but it's now possible to upgrade the Classic to the 'Pebble Time' software. Details on how to do it are here:
update 3x is superb, allows unlimited apps being used, before it was max 8, also a timeline, i bought a black classic today from argos, all setup now very pleased with it, getting notifications from everything i would normally get on phone, brilliant bit of kit for a fab price. would highly recommend to anyone. I'm using an iphone as well.

i personally dont think its worth the extra £30 for the steel version considering the classic costs £49.99. but each to their own i guess. the classic one is perfectly fine and its lighter with a better water proof strap.

Finally decided to bite. Managed to get a black version using Amazon Prime Now. First use of the service so got a tenner off. It'll be delivered between 8 and 10 tomorrow morning for only £37.99. If it wasn't for the app, I'd be straight down to Argos at this price.
UPDATE: Watch delivered at 8am this morning. Updated to latest version and running like a dream. Charging cable is a little temperamental, but who isn't at 8am?!

I agree its not worth the extra cost, I actually dont like the look of the pebble steel, and prefer the pebble's strap. Considering its the same software, its a no brainer for me.

Hmm.. I mainly opted steel because of slightly better looks, gorilla glass and charging status indicator. Also had remaining balance on a gift voucher so cost me around the same!

I was faced with the Steel being there when I went to pick up my reserved classic, but likewise decided that the extra cash wasn't worth it. Looks were maybe better/different but the black classic looks pretty good also. I'm more than happy with my purchase (from PC world)

Clearly looks of pebble and pebble steel are subjective, so I guess we're lucky to gain financially by prefering the look of the pebble classic black! Thanks to ben.harris above, mines now got the same software as pebble time, so very happy!!

I don't use Facebook Messenger, but on mine it seems to send anything that appears as a notification (Android) to the watch, so assuming Facebook Messenger works like this, I think it should work.

Its a luxury or more refined version of the classic.
