I bought about a dozen of this around July last years from Pound shops. It is exactly the same simcard. I activated and already used two of them. It is written on the package to be activated something about June 2016 (?).
I just found out last week, when I tried to activate the credit it by sending the text to 150 with message "STOP PACK" it is mentioned "barred". I have tried three of them, the same problem ?? Has anyone found the same problem ?
Is there any way it prevent this to happen again if I got the new one sold on the market ?
What I might think is that to activate the £5 credit for all sim card as soon as it arrives with the hope the the credit does not have an expire date ? Has anyone tried it ? thanks

In future just activate all sim cards as soon you buy it, don't leave for longer without activate and on the £5 credit lable have expiry date written please check that when you buy it, and activate before that date to get your free £5 credit. I hope this will help you to prevent you wasting your money.

Were the SIMs toppped up when you bought them? You need to make at least two chargeable actions every 120 days to keep the SIM and credit live. As there is only a finite amount of telephone numbers networks will re-use old unused numbers.

I've been buying these for a while, but the last one I tried to use, I'd had it a few months mind, seemed to have been deactivated. If you do buy make sure you use them asap and don't leave in a drawer for 3 months! Ideal with a dual sim phone just for data using the £1 a week data pack.

Some people have mentioned, once you activate the £5 credit there isn't any expire date. I have not proved it myself so cannot say ... Other people who know might want to share his/her experience ....

there is no expiry date for credit, but if you don't use your sim card for six months then your sim will be disconnected. To keep your sim card active without using your credit is receive phone call or text from any other mobile within 6 months.

You need to make at two actionable charges every 120 days to keep the SIM and credit live or it will be deactibated

I do not hitnk this information is correct. I have used it in September 2015
Thanks this is what I believe ...
In your opinion when you buy the SIMcard it is better to activate it straightaway or Just activate it when you are about to use it. In my personal experience when it is not activated, it will be barred for activation within a few months, even much earlier that those mentioned on the packaged. I have lost about £12 because of this.

The suggestion here is to actovate the £5 as soon as it arrives. The credit never expire that is what I have heard, but I have not got any chanve to prove ot myself.
Opening post
Please note that you may only buy two pay as you go units in total per household within a three month period.
