I've got at least 3 SIMs but always thought that I'd missed the opportunity. I didn't want to risk slapping a tenner on to find it had closed. I ordered another one in my cat's name before Christmas but it's not arrived yet (along with loads of other bits of my mail).

I now suspect hes trying to pass off EE 10gb SIMs as 100gb ones - if im right then expect to see some negative feedback shortly

My guessing is that he's managed to get them all from previous promotions, topped up each with the required tenner and queued the pack from activating automatically, as was common practice amongst other people in this thread and other threads.

How he got so many is another matter however.

Im more interested in finding out where hes getting them from - apparently they dont need a top up so are like Dan&Phil or Ali-A ones

if you look at his business address its just a small residential house - all looks very odd

he actually started out selling them really cheap then increased then price when he realised there were too cheap (someone bought 30 which might be a problem if they are all arriving to the buyer with the allowances already activated - my guess is the 30 buyer is now the 2nd seller)

My Osprey is unlocked anyway; it's just that you cannot put a Three SIM intended for phones into a MiFi or tablet.

Three will still detect if youve put a phone SIM in a MiFi device, regardless of whether or not it was supplied by them. As soon as you access the web on your laptop for example, Three will know it isn't a phone will either deduct that data usage from your 30GB hotspot allowance or disconnect the SIM from the network temporarily until you reinsert it into a phone.

so if i put my 3 sim into a ee ospray (unlocked) device itll use my normal data instead of my tethering allowence ? :smiley:

Since this promo and the Vodafone 50GB promo have ended I'm now relying on a Three All You Can Eat data SIM on a one month contract with 30GB of tethering for £23. The downside is that I can't put this SIM in my EE Osprey, I have to use it in my phone and then enable personal hotspot if I want to use tethering. 1GB a day of tethering is fine by me. Enough for an hour of YouTube streaming/Now TV/Netflix a day.

It was after Christmas the code was data150 i did register but stopped it before sending anything. Just followed a thread on here. Hsve 7dsys left and then i hope another 30 dsys. We need another one soon but i dont see it happening now they have BT in part control.

personally cant see how colin7777 could have got this too work - IIRC the offer stopped working in february - texting christmas100 isnt even a recognised code anymore - it doesnt even come back with 'this offer has ended' - it just comes back with a list of valid codes

Would you suggest the Vodafone SIMS? I see you can order two sims so i presume this would tide you over for two months and hope EE do the same offer again?
Without downloading P2P i probably need about 20GB a month internet SIM.. seen a deal from EE but people on there saying its £30 a month instead of £15. What you would suggest?
Tethering is essential for the SIMS as well for me.

Followed the method of registering the sim and adding £10 but then stopping the plan and didn't send any text or data. Was expecting to be able to start the 100GB today after reading other posts here but it says the 100GB has run out. So did I make a mistake or have they caught up with all the tactics of delaying the start of the 100GB.

After the second month it will start using your £10 credit. You would be better off buying a data pack - 1GB for £10 which lasts a month or until the 1GB is used. But you would need to stop using the data before it ends. Put the SIM in a dumb phone or turn data off to check if you still have £10 credit by dialling 150 or texting BA to 150

With mine, it used the 2 months free.. then it told me to set the system for using the £10. So it wasn't using it set... I had to select to use it for the set system they have... I think one of them was £10 for a month.... can't quite remember. Haven't used it yet... got the double up before I did. But would therefor presume you have to tell it you want to use a set amount for one of their packs, it didn't work out as just a pile of money and it used a bit at a time.

Sorry to ressurect an old deal but once my 100gb has ended does it use the normal credit first i.e the £10 top up or just it just stop working? then i can load the other one or as soon as they send me text to say 100gb is over then change to the next stacked sim! This is working a treat!ni don't mind using the ten pounds as there is not much else to use it for

Ahh ok, no worries then. I had used this before. Topped up (as I'd need it anyway), tried texting CHRISTMAS100, it's still sending now. Tried before, it attempted to send for an hour, then failed, so trying again, it's still trying now. EE doesn't like me :-D

Still works. Tried with the £10 from last time that was still sat on account after 'stop pack' in the autumn. But said no, so topped up £10 and yep 100gb on and no other packs added so £20 credit still on account. Also still got the free battery pack that I need to return for £20 credit bonus!!

it might be - this is because when the offer is completely over then IIRC the response message to CHRISTMAS100 changes to something like 'this offer has ended' as opposed to 'this offer is not available to you'

according to some reports you can ignore 'this offer is not available to you' message i.e. just top up £10 & text the CHRISTMAS100 text again

Personally I think its worth risking £10 even if you dont get the data

FWIW Just now topped up £10 (took about 5 goes EE is hopeless) texted Christmas100 and got the 200gb. It was a summer sim that ended on the 19th. I couldn't stop pack though, I think because I had already done it when I initially set up the summer sim. The data has started without me using anything though so I'll call EE tomorrow.

It worked for me today. I had an unused Christmas sim, today I topped up £10 and texted CHRISTMAS100 - got 200GB for 2 months. The connection is very good. Comparable if not better than fibre broadband.

I only managed to get two SIMS, the first one 2 months will be over in 12 days time, then i am going to use the other, as the data is dormant on it.
Might keep the 2nd SIM and try topping it up after the 2 months data is over, see what happens.

This sim, unluckily have two night shifts within 2 weeks of each other, and this SIM runs out mid night shift pattern which is annoying. But as the other SIM is dormant, can just hammer this one on my nights next 4 days and then pop the dormant SIM in and start again.

Both sims are new xmas sims received towards the end of December

'STOP PACK' has also worked fine so I will leave these sims until I am ready to use them

I'm really over the moon this evening. The data on my current Christmas SIM will expire in four days so I popped one of my old Summer promo SIMs in a dumb phone and texted the CHRISTMAS100 code to 150. Sure enough the text back said that the offer wasn't available to me.

I bought a £10 EE voucher yesterday, applied the voucher to the old Summer SIM a few hours ago, texted the CHRISTMAS100 code again and voilà! The Christmas promotion has been applied to my old, used Summer SIM that had previously benefited from the promotion back in July.

Very happy now. I'm sorted for internet until the middle of March. Marvellous.

I'm writing this post on the 16th of January, so clearly the 14 day time restriction from the 29th of December for Christmas promotion validity does not apply. Who knows how long it will last for?

I have a regular use SUMMER PAYG SIM, and after 10pounds today and CHRISTMAS100 to 150, 200GB promotion added to my acct.

I topped up my Xmas Sim on the 24th as my previous sim expired on that date.

I now need to.decide of I should add the £10 to an old summer sim as the Xmas one will expire on 24th feb. I can at least then use the other sim until 13th March.

My Christmas sim expired today, and EE failed to send the Sims I ordered in December. Has anyone tried this with a Christmas sim and got it to work? I'd rather have confirmation before throwing £10 away for a meagre 1gb.

got my xmas sim on 9th Dec, activated the free 100GB today. It says 14 days after the 29th so register by 13th Jan at the latest.

Right so I've had a rummage through all the promo SIMs I've been using over the past year or so and can confirm the following (all have been used for their respective promotions):

My Dan and Phil SIMs are dead
My Glastonbury SIMs state that I need to have ordered a Christmas SIM for the promo to be applied
My Summer SIMs state that the offer isn't available to me (perhaps this will change if I were to top up these?)
My Christmas SIM is still in use and has 16 days remaining of the second month.

I use these SIMs in an Osprey as my main internet connection both at home and out and about, and need to continue after my current SIM expires in 16 days. I guess that, despite my Summer SIMs stating that I'm not eligible, if I were to top these up again I will become eligible? Not too keen on losing a tenner.

I'm usually quite clued up with these SIMs having edited many posts relating to these promos in the past!

AFAIK officially it's 14 days after received, but in reality they have no idea when it arrived - and in effect everyone has until 14 days after the end date.

I have two sims received on the 20th Dec i want to use both but i want to stack the data i.e jan-feb, mar-april!

I get the stop pack first to 150 wait for reply the top up both £10 do they start straight away? Or do either of them start when i put the sim in my ipad and use data on it? So if i use the first one but leave the other dormant data will wait until i need it?

Had let my EE Glasto sim lapse, so paid up £10, tested CHRISTMAS100 to 150 and got a reply straight back confirming I qualified for the 2 X100GB..

OK - wasn't keen on topping up £10 to find it didn't work, but it does.

And as I have some remaining credit from when it was a summer SIM, I can transfer the whole £10 to a Playstation wallet credit - previously could only transfer £5 as it needed 10p of £10 credit to send the text to confirm the transaction.

Some people have reported getting the deal twice on the same sim but only after applying a fresh £10 (in one lump sum).
The "official" closing date for the Christmas100 data was 29th Dec with top up and activation within 14 days. Although the deal worked on Glasto and Summer Sims its by no means certain whether the Christmas100 offer terms will be applied the same.

So if you have a valid SIM, the offer should still work if you top up £10 before 14 January. Don't forget to quickly stop the £10 data pack if you don't want it (do this by sending the text STOP PACK to 150 before using any data).
