Quite an interesting idea. Just gone through the process to see what it recommended and here's what it said.
The cost of Tails is £33.98 (£3.23 per kg) for 10.52kg whereas Millies is £49.99 for 14.5kg (£3.44 per kg). You can buy Millies in bulk as well which slightly reduces the prices.
Personally speaking, the Millies is far better in terms of ingredients and quality ingredients compared to that of Tails and for a very similar price.

The food is good, my dog loved it but if you have any special needs like hypoallergenic contact them first to ensure the correct recipe. They are excellent to deal with.
I can recommend Tails.

I bought this for my dog, unfortunatley even though I was feeding him the 90% his normal food and 10% new food (as recommended), he got an upset tummy ...
Absolute bargain though.

Signed up to this last night, said I got 4 days extra free but still only said previous price was just short of £6, suppose its based on a large dog just eating this.

£6 for one day & £8 for the other for 31 days seems a good price. I will see if it suits them & if they actually like it. Thanks

We had our lab pup on wafcol due to a sensitive stomach on vets advice but he almost couldn't be bother to eat it.
Got this stuff for him and he goes mad for it! Think its because it made fresh and clearly a better quality food than the mass produced bags. Tails probably making a smaller margin in order to grow their business so probably a better deal than it might appear to some.

The price of 4 weeks food depends on the type of dog etc. The £27 is, I'm guessing, the highest price for 4 weeks food they do.
We use tails for our labradoodle, £17 for 4 weeks food delivered for free. He loves it, goes absolutely mad for it. Been on it for 1 year, no upset stomachs or health problems.
Would 100% recommend

13.21kg of bespoke dry blend for 40kg German Shepherd - £39.20
He's currently on Orijen and Acana so whilst this is less money, the meat content looks less.

All about dog food is a great site to see what all the main dig foods contain .
We stick with Origen for our Boston terrier.
Quite expensive but due to the high protein has to eat less if it than other foods.
Works out at about a fiver a week, small price to pay for top quality food.

My fussy german shepherd loved this when we had her favourite meat as lamb. We then changed it to chicken just for a little variety and she had major regurgitation issues with it.

The quality isn't great but if you feed something like bakers/wagg/pedigree then its an upgrade for sure.
