Dell have had a few of these this week, I've had scratch and dent before and it was difficult to find a scratch. Any thoughts on the value for this, not for gaming only for Uni. Not many around with full HD screen at this sort of price.
Scratch and dent from £309+ VAT so £379.80.
Refurbs too from £349+vat

Bought 3 laptops from Dell Outlet, last one "scratch and dent", all like new. As far as the deal goes, full HD at this price is pretty good.
I just bought the inspiron 13 7359 2 in 1 from the outlet for £365 plus vat and I am very happy with it.
It is however the second laptop I have bought from the outlet store in the last year and both have come with network adapters that needed driver updates before they would connect to a wireless network. Its a simple fix but it is surprising that they would ship them in that state.
On the whole though I would recommend them.

Dell Outlet is always my goto for Laptops. I have bought four, and friends/family have bought others. Refurbished or Scratch & Dent never a problem. I once bought a 10 Mini Netbook which had a faulty key, replacement keyboard was delivered next day. It can be worth looking at the business site as sometimes there are bargains to be had on the "professional" Latitude models, which I believe come with 3 year on-site support.
This looks a good machine for the price, I can't abide anything under FHD nowadays.

What's dell laptops like to upgrade these days? Hdd/wifi cards? Anybody know? Back then you had to dismantle the laptop before you could change the hard drives, an experience I don't want to go through again

the 17 inch model is easy to fix up, just a few screws and cables that unclip

Saw an online video for xps 13 inch and seems to be the same case. Only reason I didn't buy one and still hunting for an easily upgradable 13 inch powerful laptop to add ssd later

It varies by model considerably. You can download a service manual for each model and that will make it clear.

They were as low as £348 including VAT just before Christmas as I ordered at that price for my Son. I always go to the Outlet site when looking for laptop unless there is some amazing deal on HUKD.
As for all gone keep checking daily in the afternoon for a refreshed stock list.

Ordered 2 Inspiron 17 - 5759 by accident. Wasn't paying attention when order confirmation came up, slight was slow and captcha kept getting me. Easy enough to cancel one of them?
Also what's delivery like? Mine's got a lead time of 2 weeks which seems a while for something they have on stock.
Cheers

Can you set alerts for new stock on the outlet site?

Not that I am aware of. The advice from Dell was that they refresh the stock at 03:00 and 15:00, so if you want something that is in demand, be ready to pounce. When I wanted to get my XPS 13 I had to check daily for a couple of weeks.

Turned up with a light mark on the bottom, otherwise perfect, £200 cheaper than new.also has a radeon card wasn't aware of.

Update sending it back too much screen bleed, presume that's why it went back in the first place. Shame as it looked good.
