I've never had one problem with scan. Even with returning motherboards or Ram.

I've been using that free delivery for years, I'm fairly sure it's still active. These days though I'd rather buy from Amazon even if it's a bit more expensive.

There isn't one at the moment. Which is why I didn't add it to the post
Scan allow collection which is why the price is still £49.95 plus you can get free delivery at scan with a promo code.
Good find at dabs though.

Had loads of problems returning a faulty motherboard within 2 weeks of purchase to Scan. Ended up having to send to the manufacturer.
Would never use them again.
Having said that SSDs are lower risk than motherboards. Less to go wrong.

OP, appreciation for your efforts
however, sadly but true... scam (err.. its scan, yeah! its same) can easily claim award for worst customer services, particularly "Returns team"
amazon - reasonably good (if not best) customer services
hassle free returns
no skin scrapping (with rusty blade) postage
last, but least - like scam's customer services, amazon won't insult customers
you get +10 GB, a better SSD

I brought the 480gb version of this from Amazon a few weeks back, I was a bit conscious because of the reviews I found when searching, I can not compare it to another SSD as I have never had one before but I stuck this in my 4 year old laptop, I was considering a new laptop as it was running so slow but it turned out the HDD in the laptop was slowing the system down as it ran at 100% of its capacity when having edge and word open, this SSD rarely reaches 10% of its read/write speed with what I use my laptop and I have had no problem multi-tasking, I have had kodi, outlook, edge, chrome, word, excel, iTunes, the Fitbit app, Amazon app and eBay all running at the same time with no performance issues. I do not use my laptop for gaming other than the odd game of football manager, this has made a difference on the fm game speed and it shows when I select several leagues to at once I still get 5 stars on the speed the computer thinks the game will run at. If you play games that do not require high end graphics, use your computing for media consumption, kodi, Microsoft office work and general internet browsing and your finding your computer is slow then check what component is making your computer slow in task manager, if it's the HDD, then buy this product and I think it will give your computer a new lease of life, I do not think I will need a new computer for another 4 years or so, for an idea on the difference in speed my old HDD took 90 seconds to get to the desktop and then it would be extremely slow for 5 minutes before I could even start trying to do a light internet browse, this SSD loads me to the Windows log in screen in 10 seconds and it takes me 27 seconds to get to the desktop this includes clicking Windows 10 in the which operating system to use screen and getting to the box and typing my password, as soon as I'm on the desktop there is no delay, I can load up programmes and documents as close to instant as I think my 2011 i5 will ever be able to handle. There is a code to download transfer software in the box, you do however need a way of connecting the SSD to the computer to do this, so you may need to purchase a sata to USB adapter.

Never use Scan because of their extortionate delivery charges but this time they are actually working out cheaper than Amazon. Cracking drive though. I have just installed the Sandisk Ultra 2 SSD on my computer just now and its on par with the Crucial. Blistering speeds.
Once you use an SSD you will never go back to the SATA or IDE drives except for storage purposes. This is definitely worth the dosh. Buy it. You'll never look back.

Don't they still do free delivery if you've posted a few times on their forums?
I always had free delivery when I was a system builder, not sure how it works now as I don't remember the last time I bought from them.
